The Redeemed and the Dominant: Fittest on Earth

So right off the bat you know the movie is propaganda. Do people think steroids and PEDs don't make you physically stronger/faster and more agile? Because they 100% do and are used by the best, that's why they're the best. They took it to another level, this documentary pretends drugs don't help their best athletes. What a joke of a documentary, how can I take it seriously after an opening like that?

This is a very good film, one which I have watched quite a few times but as other reviewers have stated every now and then the film talk to the makers of Crossfit about the use of drugs in the sport and all the time they are saying no that none of the big names are taking something, they are, 100% they are taking performance enhancing drugs. It would have been better if they had said yes we know most of the athletes are taking something and we are trying to stamp it out.

Stop treating the audience like idiots.

Every single one of these people are on steroids. The human body is not biologically able to recover from that much strain in such a short amount of time. Nobody walks around with 7-8% bodyfat, lifts over 300 lbs and runs several endurance performances in 1 week without the help of serious amount of drugs. No amount of training is going to overcome the neurological limitations that the human body has.

At one point they comment on "you can't look at a person and see if they are on steroids", but you can look on their numbers and realize that they are. Compare what they are doing to Olympic athletes and you'll see that they are often putting in as high or higher results than olympic freaking competitors. And the Games is the golden standard of steroid use. The Olympics is often a state-sponsored doping program. And here we see a privately founded circus for performance enhancing drugs.

2017s Fittest on earth documentary was great! It was focused on the events and we all received a lot of insight on what was going on in the athletes mind during these events. Now this years documentary was about everything else but the actual events and it was terrible! I do not know why they decided to focus on everything but the events and the athletes! Very disappointed

My only critic is that some athletes are not so documented as others but the value is similar. great for spending 1h30 hours off entertainment
