It seems like they were trying to tell a couple of different stories here. There's the whole kidnapping thing and then the Native American mythology angle and the hallucinations. I feel like they were trying to communicate something deep and profound, but it seriously misses the mark.
The cinematography is beautiful and the score is appropriate, the acting is very good. But so much of nothing happens for the first two-thirds of the film as the protagonist searches for his sister. The ending feels like it should be deeply meaningful, but it's just kinda "meh".
Not a bad movie for a rainy afternoon if can't decide between a movie and a nap, but you're leaning towards the nap.

The story seems good, not brand new, but still fine enough to make something out of it. Mythology is usually always a good source of inspiration... But it hardly unfolds with very limited suspense in my pov.

A disfigured character trying to find reason in the search for his missing sister in an incredible landscape. Excellent plot, great photography, but some loose ends that could have been cleared up.
A sequel would help clarify some points, especially for those who are not connected with the mythology of the natives of this region of the planet.
I didn't know the work of Colten Wilke, an excellent actor who presents himself as a real native, it is possible to smell the fish he tears apart at the beginning of the film and all the anguish that the character demands. The cast is very good, they manage to give the tone of mystery that the plot needs.

The acting in this film is top notch. You can feel the anguish of Will deep inside your soul. The wisdom, warmth and kindness of Chief George is evident. The backdrop of the Pacific Northwest is stunning. I loved this movie!
I'm from port hardy BC where most of this was filmed so it's pretty neat to see my home town and other reservations, the story was great I loved it, I'm also a halibut fisherman, really professional acting and filming I was blown away.

This film was so layered and intricate that I have to be honest, I had to (happily) watch it three times to fully appreciate where the writer was taking me. I was completely transfixed by the mix of native mythology and sci-fi....with questions still yet to be answered. Which is what makes is so compelling! The score was first class, the acting documentary natural and the cinematography beguiling. First time director which is shocking to me. Very impressed by this independent film in a landscape where the big studios are failing us.

Very natural and raw performances by the cast. Nice twist and turns to keep the viewer engaged while the story unfolds. I would love to see more from this director as he melded mythology and a little Sci-Fi, my 2 favourite genres.
Sequel?
Sequel?
This was such a cool way to experience the Pacific Northwest and had a little bit everything! Creature Feature, some mystery and suspense! Beautiful cinematography and storytelling.
