The fact that this movie copied most of its important contents from the Hindi movie Jolly LLB is something which makes me give this movie such a low rating.Like, how can you make movies like that? The actors have played their parts perfectly, but the fact I above mentioned makes this movie a one-time watch!
In spite of the overall rating seen, the movie was surprisingly good. The story is serious and good, and the cunning twist at the end is definitely worth a watch. Everyone acted well!
One could confidently say this film has borrowed a lot from the Bollywood flick "Jolly LLB". The movie was pictured as a courtroom comedy suspense drama and the director has succeeded in it to some extend. But we Malayalees always thinks with their brain and cannot simply accept something that doesn't sound logical, and that is where this movie failed. The script is not at all logically convincing. The comedies were too less, so if you expect for the "Dharmajan-Vishnu" comedy combo that we seen in "Kattapanayile Hrithik Roshan", then total disappointment will be the end result. Overall, a one time watchable & forgettable flick.
A comical rip-off of Subhash Kapoor's hugely appealing 2013 courtroom drama 'Jolly LLB', Vikadakumaran hopes to bring comedy inside the courtroom but falls flat because of its crooked proceedings. For an average viewer, this comedy drama is as confusing as an advanced trigonometry problem, because the writer tries to put in multiple angles/twists just to look intelligent. Vishnu Unnikrishnan plays an aspiring advocate who wants to make it big in criminal law. So when a heinous crime is committed by an egoistic character (Jinu Joseph), he takes the opportunity and uses his twisted mind to make things right. The plot is straight out of the 2013 Bollywood film with some minor changes, and for someone who has watched the original, watching Vikadakumaran is totally unappealing. Save for the few laughs that Dharmajan Bolgatty, Raffi, and Unnikrishnan deliver and Joseph giving the best performance in the film, there is not much to talk about here. There are a lot of unnecessary characters (one played by Baiju, for instance) involved here which tells me that director Boban Samuel depended on them rather than a logical plot to make his viewers laugh. With a predictable ending which is simply hyperbole, Vikadakumaran ends like a fairytale. It's one of those films that you can catch with your drunk friends on a Saturday night, but then when things get serious, you switch it off. TN.
Vishnu unnikrishnan is a resource ful actor but boban samuel as a director failed to impress. The script also had its flaws. The director of Romans did not rose to expectations. Dharmajan was not at his best. Jinu joseph as villain has done his job. Overall a one time watchable movie, nothing more.
