I have to day this movie was dark and difficult to understand. The writer went through a lot of symbolism and repetition but it's unclear what they wanted viewers to take away.

My eyes were glued to the screen at the very beginning. However, after the first 10 minutes it was all mediocre. The symbolic messages came through, but no comedy, just all tragedy can be boring. This was pretty good for a first film, everyone has to have a start. I would definitely want to see the director's next film, just to see if he takes heed to constructive criticism and run with it.

I applaud the director for the art and the message. However, the heavy dose of symbolism took away from the movie (my opinion) and the homoeroticism left me confused. Overall, I wish the movie had more of a balance (less symbolic references and more story line) which might've made the film just as powerful as what is trying to be conveyed. Kudos for the originality.
You wont be able to say you have seen a movie like this EVER EVA EVER!

I get where the write was trying to go, but it didn't always click. I think a tighter script and more development would have helped. The parallels to slavery were almost so subtle it gets lost. I knew where the writer was "going" because of my knowledge of history but I am sure it will be lost on a lot of viewers. The actor who played "Peter" did an excellent job.
I'd love to see this movie produced, directed and maybe re-written by a Spike Lee or Jordan Peele. It has the potential to be a great movie.

...written by illiterate trumpanzees who get easily offended anytime a non-white is the main character, and here they are all afro-americans. I will watch this just because it has made such troglodytes upset, and I give it 10 starts out of encouragement.

The film shows the the break down of masculinity within the black community, as well as the psychological effects of slavery on our black men. As a black woman, I was extremely moved, and enlightened by this film. This film is a must see!

I enjoyed this movie for many different reasons. Good watch. You'll have to keep up and know some history. Or if you don't know, this movie will spark your curiosity and compel you to do some research!
Being Black along will not let you understand the message through symbolism in this movie. You have to know your History and not His Story. His Story will leave you confused, bored and all those other things in between. There were so many messages in this movie about what has been done to the Descendants of Africans it will leave blood in your mouth and anguish in your heart. All said, when the words on the screen towards the closing of the movie that started by saying "Experiment No. 441968 Concluded." Up to the point of "To Be Continued." If you did not get it then, you never will no matter how many time you may watch. The Experiment still marches on! I was left wanting more footage or a sequel!
