Actually, this movie is based on a real story happened to a Jewish girl Ada. It was not a game by any means.

Superb ...this is a worth the watch film I saw this film during russia focus section in Cairo international film festival, Egypt The audience were few sadly.... But the film deserves huge audience The cinematography and direction i thought were excellent The young girl's acting was masterfully done...amazing considering thats her first role in cinema Its not a long film..no dialogue ..yet it moves ... What i found worth mentioning is that throughout all her suffering,,the litlle girl cried twich..on her moms death and her cats death... very symbolic film

Specialy when she wrapped the flag on her toe and made socks out of it....there are hard scenses but true no exaggeration Its anti nazi film of course I think all art cinema lovers should look for this film and watch it

This movie takes place during ww2 in Nazi occupied Russia.

When the movie begin Anna 6 years old just lost her parents and she is on her own in a hostile enviroment. If she get caught she will probably get killed.

There very little dialogue in this movie, so it doesnt matter that much if this is a Russian made movie. You will follow this 6 year old and how she try to survive. Hide to prevent detection. Runs trying to find food.

Its like a computer game with a first person survival game. Find food, keep yourself warm, get rested and so on.

This is an interesting movie but it feels like them who made this movie ran out money because it is a bit short.

This young actress Marta Kozlova makes a brilliant job. Its rare to watch a movie were the lead actress is just 6 years old.

I liked this but I would have wished for the movie to be a bit longer.

It's a moving story.. And unique as a film, in my experience. It's relatively short, and closely follows the 6 year old Anna as she attempts to survive in an abandoned school in the midst of wehrmacht, resistance fighters, etc. It's apparently far behind the frontline and so relatively quiet, there is no fighting or action in the movie. There are some moments of suspense, but all is composed of short cuts of a few minutes.. After which the screen fades to black, and onto another scene. I felt some scenes could definitely have been extended.. Nonetheless there were memorable parts, the wehrmacht party for instance was fascinating and together with other scenes suggested magic realism.

Strangely anti Ukrainian film with a lot of Russian cliches about Ukrainians during WWII. Overrated project.
