It is one of the three pilots Matthew Perry had featured for the 1994-95 season, the others were L.A.X. 2194 (1994) and Friends (1994). Ultimately Friends (1994) was the one that got picked up and lasted a decade, the others were unsold by the networks in order to allow casting as Chandler.
