Brilliant, and most who watch this will most likely not understand its message, it will cause anger, boredom and confusion i bet too if u dont understand it.
The movie had an deep and intriguing concept overall, i have watched so far 665 movies, and have to say this ones original too.
The movie addresses the reality of what life is like for the race that is not the dominant one, which we have also had to see through our own human history in a form of race discrimination.
This is pretty much an Alien story mirrored view of American history.
Just the same way Europeans came to America, Removed the traditions, culture. The movie even quickly tells about the subject of changing the less dominant races expressive passive aggressive but realistic art to be more kind and less truth expressive.
The movie can piss you off so its pretty ironic to understand we have done exactly the same to other human races.
The movie captures it also very well how a better wealthier dominant race, can offer shtty or even degrading jobs to the lower race, with an suprisingly high reward/salary, for which ofc the lower status race is happy to do.
(we really should fix this in our modern societies... Some countries still do this to immigrants. NO EQUALITY BETWEEN RACES.)
Ofc theres also the basic arrogance from the American people in the story, which did not surprise me, but what surprised me was how in one scene the alien did not do the thing which dominant race usually does when getting disrespected... Or atleast what an disrespected dominant human would do: Destroy the rebellion/resistance. Somehow the whole ordeal was just ignored and forgotten.
There was also no fighting or war between the humans and aliens, which also is not very accurate thinking humans react naturally with violence when under fear or threat.
But im sure the Natives of Americans felt just the same about these more advanced invaders coming into their land to take it over, cant do nothing else than to bow and kneel.
Also shows the subject of greed and ignorance in humans. Deep subjects in this movie, thats why i rated it so high, gave me good thoughts and the subject is something we should all reflect on.
The acting also works, the actors feel natural and the movie is immersive too.

This film was pretty unexpected and unlike anything I've seen, and I think because of that it was a bit weird, like it had some narrative shifts. I loved the fact it touched on some pretty controversial topics, which is something I really enjoy under a Sci-fi lens.
Like distribution of wealth, what happens to native people in occupied land. It was really interesting.
The acting was pretty good, and the creature design was excellent in a way that it was very inhuman, and even communicated very differently, which was pretty cool. The film was well made with nice details, even down to the soundtrack.

The Vuvv represent all the worst aspects of modern, neo-liberal capitalism, imposing a world order in which one can only survive by being their direct servants, their paid mouthpieces (and they'll alter your message or art to make sure its acceptable), or by underbidding everyone else to sell one's labor, although that last option leaves you and yours only barely scraping by.
Unions are obviously a thing of the past, and cultural imperialism is being implemented to assimilate humans into the Vuvv way. It's all straight out of the playbooks of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Reason and The Economist, The Cato Institute and more think tanks than you could shake a stick at. Unfortunately for humanity, the Vuvv breath life into a theory and practice of neo-liberalism, whether it's called Reaganism, Thatcherism or Blairism, that is intellectually and empirically worn out, and can now only be implemented by fascists wearing a populist face.
In other words, Landscape with Invisible Hand stands in the grand tradition of Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, hiding themes and messages meant for today behind science fiction trappings. Overall, it's a good film, and a nice break from dystopian fiction in the style of A Quite Place, The Walking Dead and The Rest of Us.

It was an interesting premise for sure but it got way to obvious way too soon for me. There was a lot to explore here and it could have been entertaining and thought provoking but it didn't really provoke many thoughts of merit, felt a little bit flat and boring.
The theremin music was just too obvious a choice and steered it in the predictable direction and vibe of it all.
It just didn't click and it should have. There were lots of interesting ideas in it but the characters didn't all work and ultimately my attention drifted till I didn't feel like watching it in one sitting, and there it stopped.

I just saw landscape with invisible hand and it was really good, I loved the way this movie was shot, it was a very creative movie and pretty unique to, I cared about everything that was going on and I was pretty into it as well, I am surprised that this film was not distributed by A24 and was Distributed by mgm. There is one major flaw with the movie though, and that flaw is that it feels like it drags on, the film is only 1h 45m, yet it feels longer than that. Other than that, it was a really good movie that kept me captivated and I do hope we get more movies like this in the future. Overall, I give this an 8/10, I highly recommend you go and support this movie, it deserves more love, it is a hidden gem.

- BlooperDuring the Homecoming Dance, after Adam and Chloe's argument, Adam angrily replaces his Node by slapping in carelessly back on his head, but it attaches too low, near the corner of his eye, rather than to his temple above the eyebrow, showing that it is an adhesive prop rather than placed in a certain location for a mental interface.
