Balloon

I watched this thinking it was a full movie. A kid discovers that he has super powers right at the time that he is starting to get bullied in school. For a fifteen minute short it was very good. I really hate to watch short films because they just get started with a story and it is over. This could have been a full movie and it would be great if they did make it into a full movie. It did come to an end at a great spot. This is one of the best short films that I have ever seen.

He does a real great job . Exploring each nuance, defining each aspect of a character for who the angry, the loneliness, the pressure in different senses are the basic and fundamental challenges. A film about bullying but, in same measure, about media and the superficiality of short Youtube - like short films. About a discover, desired by so many vulnerable teenagers and its high price. I love "Ballon" for each scene. For the wise adaptation of superhero theme, for great aspects of the fight against yourself, for the inspired end. So, a lovely short drama. And a great performance from the young Jonah Beres.
