Untitled Goose Game

I'm glad I made this purchase.

A great casual challenge as you wonder around, never in great danger but always with something to do. Figuring out the things on the to-do list had me scratching my head often but they were gettable. Then you have to actually pull them off!

I like to indulge the idea that the goose is a reincarnation of a guy who was driven to death by the town's people. Maybe he was gay and lynched or the torment drove him to suicide or something. That's my little head canon and it helps me enjoy the game because you do a LOT of malicious things in this.

With limited actions, you go through a nice handful of locations doing this and that. The semi-minimalist design and its zeitgheist of the small modern English town all just works.

The goose is credited to "a goose".

And not ALL the villagers dislike you.

Fun, innovative, short and simple game. Not much else needs to be said. Doesn't take much to get going. A ton of fun.

UNTITLED GOOSE GAME (2019) is a cute little indie game about a mischievous goose that annoys a quaint little village, by doing very naughty yet very goosey things.

"It's a lovely morning in the village, and you're a horrible goose that causes havoc. That's it. You run around just ruining peoples days."

You play as the goose and can get into all sorts of troubles with their different goose abilities. The game is pretty short and cute. It's a minimal game, in art style and in premise, but also pretty entertaining, full of mischief and mayhem. There's no end to the goose's naughtiness. A short and sweet indie gem.

A short open world (?)\sandbox (?) petty postal puzzle game with some stealth elements and elements of terrible physics sim. It's a low poly flat-shaded game, which works in UHD UWS Surround out of the box. The FoV is too low even at it's maximum (zoom out with toggle option) and camera sticks to the nearest person, even if a wrong one, but it's mostly a casual game, with all finicky parts being on optional to do lists. Running is made intentionally terrible, but the game doesn't punish you for outright turning it off for turning and instantly turning it on.

While it isn't much in a vacuum outside its premise, i don't see any other goose simulator. It's another step forward for gaming as a medium, and so far the best game of this year.

You play as a terrible (although adorable) little goose as you ruin everybody's lives.

Does that not sound like the best game premise ever?

The visuals are really charming, the game controls pretty well, the "honk" button is simply amazing; everything about this game is fantastically fun.

Play the game. You won't regret it.
