Platypossum

I love independent movies and there are some great filmmakers out there making good stuff with little or no budget. But Platypossum is an example of someone who thinks they should make a movie because they have a camera, regardless of lack of talent. They have little to no story and end up with the "next" group walks into the woods and dies to the monster trap. When not doing that we get a crusading scientist yelling about the dangers of fracking. We do eventually get a monster but it's origin story is distasteful and the execution not good. Lousy sound and lighting make for a flick you should stay far away from.

After viewing platypossum, I have been inspired to turn my life around and become a climate activist. My wife recently divorced me and took full custody of my two beautiful kids, Sandy and Norman. This has sent me into a downward spiral and let's just say I've had to find various ways of coping. But this movie, this beautiful movie, has shown me the light. Every scene was beautifully crafted, the camera angles, lighting, choice of shot, CGI and camera quality made me weep (in a good way). You could tell the story was well thought out and told a deep and meaningful message. The dialogue was thought-provoking and the writers have a beautiful way with words. I never thought a movie could affect me in this way. I recommend this movie to any soul who walks the earth. I truly believe that this was a message from God, this is how he chose to speak to us mortals, his loyal disciples. He used this movie to motivate me to turn my life around, to do something good. I have seen the light and I am destined for greatness.
