The movie takes place in Connecticut just before Christmas. However, it was clearly shot in early autumn. There are green deciduous trees in the many outdoor scenes, there are yellowish and light green deciduous bushes, and even flowers in the front of Turner's family house and clinics. Impossible in the mid December in Connecticut as almost all deciduous trees and bushes are completely bare by then.

The front grill of Mitch's truck indicates it's a ford, but the rear driver's side looks like Chevy avalanche or similar, it's not ford's writing on the side, it's GM's writing.

The brother is about to go to college, so he's 17 or 18. The sister is about to lead the trauma unit of a hospital, which should put her at about 40 (4 years college, 4 years medical school, 4 years residency, plus about a decade of proving herself as a doctor)
