Awesome, dude!! Must to be first list movie to need to watch on October!
On cinematography points, it is very bad, there are often drone shadows appear, many scenes still have noise, the montage structure to display the news is too much, it really bored the audience. In addition, the skull film tries to be semi-documentary, but the opening of the film shows movie cinematography, that thing become contradiction, and made it fail in being semi-documentary. In character despictions, this film is arguably good.
I'm impressed with the set-up story at the beginning, it really drags you in with all of that clips of people talking about what is this "skull" really is, where is this came from, and what would it cause to this world with its shocking existence. But then the movie starts slowly, and it never really told you where it is going. You're gonna have to follow the flow with exciting wonder. And there's a lot of "amateur but natural" actor in this movie as well that you have to deal with. But I have to tell you that it's gonna be worth it.
I feel like there's nothing much to say about this masterpiece, just try to enjoy the beautiful little flaws of this low-budget sci-fi indie film, and you will be blessed by the ending scene that will give you chills of both fear and amazement at the same time.
I hope this movie could be a fresh start to Indonesian film maker to actually make a decent stuff like this in the future.

Dear Indonesian audience, we shall be proud this time. Tengkorak/Skull is the first Indonesian Sci Fi. The Director directly lead the scenes and plot beautifully to the ending of the story, that perhaps quite absurd, but the most important thing is the characters of this movie are amazing, each character can play dramatically their each role and leads the audience to have suspense feeling until the end. You can not blink. The cinematography is great like Alfred Hitcock's, then the main story looks like Stanley Kubrick; critical, intense, and science-based evidence. The ending looks like Alex Garland's; surprising and debatable. As an Indonesian, I really proud of this movie having several awards, because it's worth it.
Honestly I can't make up anything in this film, many of the scenes doesn't make sense nor does it do anything to the plot. I didn't give much care about the main characters, at the beginning I did though but, like this film, it's a wasted potential. Also the thing that made this to a "sci-fi" doesn't really show in the end. Stay away from this.
