You *won't* be inspired, or learn anything - there's no time spent on demonstrating how the contestants are fabricating items.
Most of the time is spent on dialogue, especially between the hosts.

If you are looking for a show that lets you escape from all the negative around us and see Nick and Amy together again this is your show. A truly excellent show!
This show is very family friendly and enjoyable. However, the judges are so annoying and unbelievably boring I almost gave it a 4. The hosts make up for the judges inability to warm up to the audience. One makes ugly store front displays and the other's career is based on trends. How pathetic. They needed judges with real knowledge about home crafting. Amy and Nick are so entertaining I can almost forgive the others. Keep the show going with new judges.
I really do love this show. Nick and Amy have a great chemistry, as seen on Parks and Rec, and they make for wonderful hosts for this show. I also love that the show is really putting crafting out there, and celebrating creativity.
The show is shot and edited in a very Great British Bake-Off way, and this seems completely intentional. The only downside to this is that the things being made here are much more intricate than baking, and so we don't get to see the majority of the stages that go into each participants creation.
I also think it might be cool if each episode a participant had a short segment where they shared a simple "make this at home" creation. One of the episodes Amber makes a very cool looking stool, which is just a paint bucket and some rope. Having a specific segment for quick crafts for the average viewer would make for a great entry for viewers to get into crafting too! Hell they could even ask you to post pictures on social media, and show them off the next episode!
Of course this all ties into run time though, so it could be a tough balancing act to do either of the things I suggest.

I never write reviews but the editing of this show bothered me so much I had to comment. I like Amy & Nick. They're funny without taking the spotlight. And the "makers" or crafters are (mostly) very talented & varied. But if you're someone watching who likes crafts, then you want to actually see the techniques people use to make things and then actually SEE the finished product. The quick edits don't allow for you to see any of this! Which is the entire point of the show. It's not an action movie. The editor needs to watch some cooking shows or some popular youtube crafters.
