Would be Funny if it weren't so true

I used to think Alec Baldwin was the quintessential Donald, but Anthony Atamanuik is even better. He's captured Donald's nuances and his non verbal behavior. Its all farce, so no one should take offense.

Initially I wasn't sure how long they can keep the laughs going with an Oval Office format, but they have been able to expand the format and the guest appearances from real Trump critics are brilliant.

I'm also impressed with how up-to-date these sketches are.

Strangely enough, when I watch Trump now I see Atamanuik, so if you are a big Trump supporter, you might want to avoid watching this.

Better than expected

I didn't have high hopes for this. I figured it would be redundant and also lack content. However, there always seems to be new and fresh material every week to create satire over. Like most shows, each episode gets a little better. The impersonation of trump is the best around at the moment. His fan base may not appreciate the show, but all presidents, regardless of party affiliation, has a little fun poked at them. I am surprised that they are able to get guests on the show from the Republican party, yet the banter is good.

This show is brilliant.

Anthony Atamanuik is a talent to behold. His impersonation is unlike any other and really digs into Trump's soul: a twisted, sad little boy. The President Show is hilarious, brilliantly written and executed and exactly what we need during these dark times. Many have said Trump is so absurd that it's hard to parody him but Atamanuik shows us that's not true. So glad that he has taken his character to the screen, where it belongs for the world to see. Anthony is a genius.

Original and entertaining

Possibly the best on point trump impression out there. To be honest I didn't have high expectations going in because I immediately suspecting bandwagon riding, but after watching it I have to say that I think it delivers a genuinely funny and considered original point of view. The serious reflective moments that examine trump's inner monologue are particularly noteworthy.

Highly recommend this hilarious show!

My family and I look forward to this very funny show each Thursday. Anthony Atamanuik is very talented and has President Trump's mannerisms and voice down perfectly. It is really funny when he has a guest and they converse. The guests talk with Atamanuik as though he is really Trump and the conversations get quite funny with wonderful ad-libs by Aramanuik. I saw Anthony Atamanuik interviewed recently as himself and was really struck by how talented he is playing Trump as Atamaniuk looks nothing in real life like the character he is playing. Highly recommend this funny and topical show.

Next Best Thing to Colbert in The Late Show - with all the best parts (Trump Parodies) all the time

Nearly as good as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in content (which I rate a 10), but, because spends more time on news/comedy and less on interviews and music, may even surpass it now. The one interview that the President Show does is actually funny and sometimes worth watching, unlike Colbert's, as it shows Trump's reactions. It seems that Comedy Central has ordered more than 10 episodes now, but will we have to wait until the next season or will they pop them out daily like Colbert or even weekly or at least a decent 20 a year?

As the star and creator, Atamanuik, said, ""I'm so grateful that Comedy Central has decided to end its tenure as a cable network by renewing The President Show." As you can see, this is Comedy Central's first majorly successful foray into web-based episode releases, with their releasing much of the episodes for free on YouTube ( search there for "The President Show" "Comedy Central" ), as well as over 400% more digital views than any other Comedy Central premier.

Also, you can watch the most recent episodes (with the exception of the E10 - the latest for now) on Comedy Central's site ( www.cc.com/shows/the-president-show/full-episodes ) or all available on YouTube ( search there for: "The President Show" Season Episode) )

I wonder what's going to happen when Trump leaves office? If Trump gets impeached, will the star, Anthony Atamanuik, still play Trump around the halls of the White House commenting and tweeting in this show, or play Mike Pence instead? I see potential for this shower to cover many presidencies, hence the more general purpose name "The President Show" instead of the "The Trump Show." However, if the president is a woman and/or a different ethnicity than what will the star/creator do?

A brilliant satire - though not without room for improvement

By far the most impressive aspect of "The President Show" is star Anthony Atamanuik's astoundingly accurate impersonation of the commander-in-chief. Despite how crowded the field of Trump impressionists has become since the real-estate tycoon first strong-armed his way onto the New York tabloid scene, Atamanuik manages to stand out among the crowd. Peter Grosz's take on Vice President Mike Pence, playing the "sideman" late-night trope, is similarly well-done, though the latter's less threatening personality means the former is the perpetual center of attention.

More important than accurate portrayals, poignancy, or information, is the comedic aspect, and in this too the writers hit the nail on the head. From his notorious fast food obsession, to his childlike jealousy, to the menagerie of yes-man surrounding and enabling him, no stone is left unturned when it comes to mocking the divisive 45th President and his staff. The material ranges from simple puns to more complex sight-gags that take an entire act to fully come together, and all are done in the right mix of ridicule and good taste.

The weakest link in the chain, so to speak, comes down to the third act interview. The guests all too often include figures that appeal to a certain type of affluent left-wing audience- such as commentator Keith Olbermann and New Age/"alternative medicine" advocate Deepak Chopra- which makes the show feel less like a satire and more like a hit piece. When the audience stops laughing and starts cheering, the fun really hits a brick wall, though Atamanuik makes the best of it with his as-always on-point aping of the Donald.

Overall, though, I still highly recommend "the President Show" to anyone who craves "comedy news" done with the biting humor of the "Daily Show" and "Colbert Report".

In own word terrible

I like how all the reviews are either 10 stars or 1 star, really gives you the impression on how this about being pro Trump or anti Trump. Objectively, this show is really pushing the anti-trump sentiment to the extreme, while the lead actor does a near perfect impression of Trump (too stereotypical maybe, but hè that's part of the joke and i like that usually), but that's the only thing i like about it. The jokes are really trying too hard to be funny: -Pence forgot how to sing happy birthday- -Trump cries like a baby and pops his balloons- Like really?? that's how low comedy has gone? Here's the thing, the script isn't even that poorly written but the execution is too damn forced, "like lets make Trump look as bad as possible than people will love it!" Here in the Netherlands everyone seems to hop on this Trump hate circlejerk as well but quite frankly i'm tired of it. Get this American crap off the Dutch cable (comedy central) and might ass well get the Daily show off too, since John Steward left the show is mediocre at best.

I look forward to the next episode

This show is hilarious. What a talent!! I was completely surprised that Trump was captured so completely in his physical nature. The dialog and scripts are witty and the witticism is not diminished by the over-acting. The characters on the show are multi-dimensional, if not extra- dimensional. It felt good to laugh at comedy that has taken on such a serious subject, i.e., our president.

So sad....... so sad. Bigly failure!

So sad, so so sad.

At SNL they understand that sketches must be sketches only and therefore they pop up randomly but not all too frequently. A Trump impression is fun for maximum 4 minutes, how they fail to see this is beyond me.

Regardless if you like Trump or not, this show is pure horse-poo. It is an insult to comedy. It is a very cheap way of scoring points/ratings and a very cheap way of making comedy. Just bully 1 person. In two shows I haven't been able to chuckle or laugh out loud. Perhaps its my taste, but I like to think I appreciate comedy and laugh at just about everything.

I cant imagine people appreciate this show and surely I will make it a point to not watch this again, until they make Comedy great, again! So, sad. So sad.

Edit: I've watched some more episodes and it remains very flimsy and borderline funny. I guess people need shows like this to cope with the reality of the real Donald Trump. It is bad enough Trump is in the White House but what is worse is that he has taken over ALL of my favorite shows. SNL, Maher, Colbert, John Oliver. Trump trump, trump.

This show remains to be of very poor quality and is no more than a cheap knock-off parody. What is worse, it aids to the Trump reality. Americans and the Media don't seem to understand that all the news coverage, all the TV coverage and all the free airtime simply add to his Marketing strategy. All of the attempts to make fun of him still resonate his message. The only way to get him out is by ignoring him completely.

Aww, Poor Trump Supporters

This show is a brilliant satire that exposes Trump's idiocy. The impersonation is spot on and his public appearances are priceless. Both Trump lovers and Trump haters need to see this to really gauge how inept this man is because it steals lines from what the real Trump says word for word. Those who hate this show are those that support Trump and are just here trolling; ignore them. Do not, however, ignore the brilliance of this late night satire.

The Uncle Scam Show...

There's a scene in GANGS OF NEW YORK wherein a very corrupt politician advises an underling to "make sure that it looks like the Law is being upheld even while it's being broken." That's what we call in this company (the so-called "united" $tate$ of ameriKa) "the ameriKan way." (Genocide and Slavery are cornerstones of "the ameriKan way." Let's not forget THAT.) The Republican Reich, with the aid of Russian allies, has pulled off a corporate coup that, as these words are being written, is being slowly but certainly unraveled. While DJ Trump's "Wealthcare" may not be as palatable to the Masses as the Reich had hoped, and his firing of the man investigating his ties to Russia giving many cause for alarm, THE PRESIDENT SHOW (the Real World "show") rolls on like a runaway train, with Rumpsters continuing to extol the nonexistent "virtues" of THEIR chosen leader. At this point, he seems destined to join the ranks of the likes of Judas, Benedict Arnold, Nixon, Reagan, and the Bush boys. I once suggested that the ultimate "transparency policy" regarding the doings of our ELECTED representatives should include a 24-hour surveillance system inside the White's House; barring that, THE PRESIDENT SHOW is the next best thing.

One-two punch: Big on "theater chops" AND channels the subconscious

Love it. It feels "of a piece" where it's hard to detect the dividing line between writing, directing, and acting. Feels finely crafted and unhinged AT THE SAME TIME. A rare thing, indeed!

Spins the latest craziness from that zoo that used to be a White House, and does it with panache and aplomb.

Trump and this show share my same level of loathing.

Ridiculous, childish jokes with no profoundness slathered onto a lineup on Comedy Central consisting of relentlessly beaten into the ground references. Not a Trump supporter, not a Hillary supporter, I just can't even call this show comedy. It's been awhile since a show literally made me upset enough to leave my distaste on the internet. Way to lower the bar CC.

Person who likes Good People

This show is healthier for America than #45 and its vp. Truth and comedy matter and this show sets a level playing field. Lies, BS, bullying, narcissism, and propaganda/press manipulation have lost their charm in real life but not in this show! Recommendation: If your contractors complete the job, pay them! Do not trust your money, government, or your daughters to Dangerous Donnie. This show is funny!

Terrible not funny

This show is a joke and not at all funny. I realize that all past Presidents have been made fun of. However, an entire show of mocking Mr. Trump is ridiculous and I don't appreciate the person who wrote it nor the actors. Cheap and low budget. I hope it takes a dive. I wish this kind of crap was removed from the TV it encourages kids and young people to desrespect our POTUS.

Brilliant!

Absolutely hilarious! DJT is portrayed as a narcissistic, bullying, infant. Tony A deserves an Emmy for this role. The writing is sharp, funny and spot on. Best impersonation of a The.Donald ever. Supporting cast is stellar. Guest interviews are funny as hell. Wish this show aired daily. A wealth of material to mine. Set your DVR or watch Thursdays. Even republicans will be highly amused.

Big League Fail

This show is not very good and not funny at all. The host of the show does a decent impression of President Donald J. Trump but I have seen better and worst of all the show is not funny at all. I'm not sure if it is the bad writing or the poor comedy ability of the host but whatever the reason is, the show just does not work or entertain. I'm sure the producers were somewhat limited because the person they cast had to be able to do a reasonable impersonation of Donald Trump but I like to think there could have been a better choice than this. I'd rather have a bit worse of a Trump as long as it was someone who is actually funny and entertaining.

Best Satire

We love this show and feel the cast is right on the mark with showing Trump and administration. This is the best Trump impersonator ever. A must see to get the best laugh, but SAD it is so true of what is happening now. The script is current as of the day of the show. Kudos to the whole cast, writers and everyone involved with this show. We need more of this. We tape and watch again. You have to laugh with what is going on with this administration. Enjoy

In the same spirit as Robert Mueller coming to the defense of The Republic, so too does Tony Atamaniuk & Company, on The President Show

Anyone who doubts that Democracy, not just in America but around the world, is under siege, needs to turn to REAL news. Now is the time for all true patriots to come to the aid of The Republic. Tony Atamanuik and Company have stepped into the breach to mock Putin puppet and fake President Donald Trump at every turn. They do it with restraint, satire that plays to our intelligence, not our basest instincts. Satire helps us to breathe, after holding our breath waiting for the next daily disaster to unfold. The Republic is at Death's door, and laughter may be the best medicine.

Brilliant!

I think I've seen all the comedians do Donald-tiny-hands, both domestic and abroad. Some of them are excellent in portraying the mannerisms and the voice, some of them are funny.

Anthony Atamanuik however, is down right channeling him. His soul(or lack thereof) depending on if you are a fan or not is laid bare for all to see. The suggested psychological conclusions that they are quite humorously presenting for us is simply dead on.

I'm impressed, amused, and of course.. scared.

I hate Trump but this is Lame

I only watched the first one, so maybe its gets better, I can't say. I am a fan of good Trump satire and humor, as seen on SNL, Colbert, Daily Show, Samantha Bee and Seth Meyers. I watch them all. I wanted to like this. It just didn't measure up. The imitation of trump is fairly good, but the humor is to obvious, to low level. There just wasn't enough thought into the dialogue or the action. They say Trump humor writes itself, but not literally. You do need some quality satire to pull this off. With the administration itself rapidly approaching the point where Poe's law kicks in (i.e. something becomes so extreme you can't tell satire from the truth), you have to put some real thought in to it. You have to compete with a man who follows up his team telling the press "he did not share the info the press said" with "I can share anything I want". A man who digresses from talking about bombing Syria to talking about the chocolate cake. A man who inserts a paragraph about not being under investigation into a letter firing the head of the FBI. This show fails to be funnier than Trump.
