More than expectation

Great sets, and super attention to detail. The movie is setup somewhere in the early 70s. Cars and Bikes used from the era. Very nice story, that used to happen in the Punjabi families and in fact still happens at times. Simi Chahal looks cute in the role and does complete justice. But I was surprised, that Mandy Takhar could pull such a role off, as I have never seen her in an era movie. Hats off to her The looks and costumes of actor were pretty apt too. Kudos to the team of the film

Most Amazing & Scintillating - A Cultural Hieght

Although the story is not much out of predictability and is well within "happy-go-ending" but still the flimatography and direction of the moving are unique.

If someone has little life of simple village life, cultural insight, domestic and collective values of village society, he will enjoy the enthralling impact of this movie. Previously I had enjoyed most "Angrej (2015)" and kept it high with me and I guess this movie stands next to the same.

This movies is of the nature which propels to see again and again. Love this movie.

Made me write my first review ever

Impressive. I am not a movie buff, I loved this movie. So real, what a story line, heart touching. Amazing direction and acting. Kept me interested through out the movie. I would pay to watch this movie in a theater.

If this was a hindi movie, this would be the top grossing movie. Clean, excellent family movie.

Good

The movie is so close to my heart, felt like my own story when i used to go my maternal village(naanke). I watched with my family and everyone from kids to elders enjoyed it so much!! While it beautifully portrays family culture of Punjab (infact entire indian village life) it also gives a very strong/clear message to people how they can avoid their small issues becoming larger family disputes. I must say very well written/directed too, look at the character of the mistry (mason) who actually symbolizes time that relates his experience that such family disputes can't be countered but wishes those could be. It is the story all households in joint families. All characters were very well crafted and played. Request the makers of this movie to please continue producing such stuff and many many thanks and congratulations for doing such excellent work!

Misleading ratings - good for children!

I can't simply understand why people praises this movie this much. Actually there is nothing that much worthy to it. Or maybe they could be people that only watch this kind of movies. Because if this film is good enough for 9/10, it's good enough in its own universe with lot of stupid movies.

If you are a movie lover who watches many movies in many genres and languages, you'll simply find what I mean after watching this. And as for my experience, relying on ratings is not wise regarding Punjabi movies. That I'm certain of.

This movie is based on pure stupidity, jealousy and hatred of a single character and it even doesn't explain the reason for that. She ultimately becomes understood about her sins and becoming a good person. It's just like a children's tale. It's dull throughout. Predictable and the wow factor is missing.

But on the other hand, I liked the songs, music and danses very much. Actually I still keep watching a certain dancing song.

If you select movies on ratings, it doesn't work for Punjabi movies. But you'll need to watch several to notice that.

Rafi saab song remake was pleasant surprise

What a pleasant surprise movie! Recalling 80s Hrishikesh Mukherjee movies, all credit goes to director for making clean entertainer. Above all I enjoyed Rafi saab and Asha duet of 80s . Performance by Tarsem, Mandy and Simi is marvellous. Keep it up

Best film

Worth watch family entertainer Rabb Da Radio is a beautifully crafted Punjabi film with soul, sensitivity, and social substance. If you're a fan of grounded, emotional family stories with cultural depth, this film is a must-watch. It stands out from the usual romantic comedies in Punjabi cinema with its mature handling of serious themes.

Heartwarming yet intense Punjabi family drama set in a traditional rural village backdrop. It delves into themes of love, family honor, social change, and the deep-seated emotional divides within joint families. The film's strength lies in its soulful storytelling, strong performances, and cultural authenticity.

A Punjabi movie on the right wave length

A great plot further aided by better than usual cinematography.

Some great performances by Simi Chahal & Mandy Takhar, whilst Anita Devgan plays an incredibly convincingly evil sas (mother-in-law).

This movie manages to combine subtle comedy with a solid story line to take you on an emotional roller-coaster - press play!

In a world full of subpar, slapstick Punjabi comedies this was a refresh breath of fresh air.

Rabb Da Radio

In the ever-evolving world of modern music, it's rare to find an album that doesn't just follow trends but actively seeks to shape them. Rabb the Radio is one such album, a bold and captivating journey that fuses diverse genres with raw emotion and artistic integrity. From start to finish, this record offers an intricate balance of innovation and accessibility, leaving a lasting impression on listeners from all walks of life.

A Unique Soundscape One of the most striking features of Rabb the Radio is its ability to blend genres seamlessly. At its core, the album is a testament to how modern sounds can be infused with the rich textures of past influences. It's clear from the first track that the album refuses to be pigeonholed into any one category. You'll hear elements of indie rock, electronic, pop, and even a touch of soul, yet it's the fluidity between these styles that makes the album truly stand out.

Take, for instance, the opening track. It begins with a soft, synth-heavy intro, gently luring the listener into a dreamlike state, before a guitar riff kicks in, adding a layer of warmth and grounded energy. The vocal delivery is smooth and emotionally charged, with lyrics that are both introspective and poetic. It's a perfect introduction to what is to follow-an exploration of sound that doesn't feel confined by traditional genre lines.

Thoughtful and Lyrically Rich While the sound of Rabb the Radio is innovative and multi-faceted, its lyrical depth is what truly sets it apart from other albums in the genre. The lyrics are consistently thoughtful and introspective, addressing themes of love, identity, loss, and the complexities of the human experience. However, it's not all heavy; there are moments of joy and hope that shine through, creating a sense of balance throughout the album.

One of the standout tracks in terms of lyrical content is "Echoes in the Night." The song features a haunting, minimalistic instrumental backdrop, with the lyrics weaving an evocative tale of self-discovery. Lines like, "In the dark, I hear your voice / Calling me back to a place I've never been" offer a sense of mystery and longing that resonates deeply with listeners. It's a song that feels both intimate and universal, capturing that bittersweet moment of realizing that we are all searching for something, even if we don't know what that is yet.

The album's lyrics are often poetic and rich in metaphor, yet they never feel overly abstract. There's an honesty and vulnerability in the writing that allows listeners to connect on a personal level, regardless of their background or experiences. Whether it's the yearning for connection in "Radio Waves" or the exploration of inner conflict in "Silent Storm," every word feels deliberate, carefully crafted to elicit emotion and provoke thought.

A Captivating Production Behind the lyrics and melodies is the album's production, which is nothing short of stellar. The production style on Rabb the Radio can be described as lush yet minimalistic, with an emphasis on space and atmosphere. Each instrument is given room to breathe, and there's a clear sense of intention behind every sonic choice.

The mix is clean and balanced, allowing the listener to appreciate the subtle nuances in both the instrumentation and vocal delivery. The electronic elements, while prominent in certain tracks, never overwhelm the natural qualities of the music. Instead, they serve as a complementary layer that enhances the overall experience. The fusion of organic and synthetic sounds results in a soundscape that feels fresh and futuristic, yet undeniably human.

One of the most impressive aspects of the album's production is its ability to shift in tone from track to track. "Shifting Tides," for instance, is a swirling, electronic-driven track that builds in intensity before breaking into a stripped-down section where the focus shifts entirely to the raw emotion of the vocals. This sudden contrast creates a dynamic listening experience, ensuring that the album remains engaging and unpredictable throughout.

Emotional Impact What makes Rabb the Radio truly special is its emotional resonance. It's an album that doesn't just sound good-it makes you feel something. Whether it's the euphoric high of a soaring chorus or the quiet vulnerability of a stripped-back ballad, the album consistently taps into the emotional landscape of the listener. There are moments of introspection that prompt deep self-reflection, but there are also moments of release and catharsis that allow the listener to escape into the music.

The album's ability to evoke such a wide range of emotions speaks to the artistry behind it. Each track feels like a new chapter in a larger story, one that you're invited to experience with the artist. The transitions between the different moods are seamless, ensuring that even the more melancholic tracks are followed by moments of light and hope.

A Universal Appeal While Rabb the Radio may initially appeal to fans of experimental and alternative music, its universal themes and emotional depth ensure that it has broad appeal. The album's genre-blending approach makes it accessible to listeners who may not typically gravitate toward a particular style. Whether you're drawn to the indie rock vibes, the electronic textures, or the heartfelt lyrics, there's something here for everyone.

Ultimately, Rabb the Radio is a testament to the power of music as a medium for self-expression and connection. It's an album that challenges expectations while staying grounded in the timeless art of storytelling. Whether you're listening through headphones for a deeply personal experience or sharing the album with friends, it's clear that this is a record that will continue to resonate for years to come.

Conclusion In a landscape where many albums tend to blur together, Rabb the Radio shines as a refreshing and unique work of art. From its innovative sound to its thoughtful lyrics and impeccable production, it's an album that leaves a lasting impression. It's not just the kind of album you listen to; it's the kind you live with, returning to again and again as it unfolds new layers with each listen. Highly recommended for anyone looking for music that's both intellectually stimulating and emotionally powerful.
