A powerfull start

Murtaza is the first feature-length movie of Özgür Sevimli who has been working in Film-Making sector for many years and it's really much higher than expected from a first work.

The movie's plain narration tells the story of an old couple living in a high village in the rural region. The wife has been blind for years and the husband seems silent and highly alienated&frustrated.

Magnificence of this movie underlies in its succesfull narration which is able to tell more than words.

A calm and quiet movie; it is difficult to enjoy for main-stream audience. However, lovers of independent styles would love it.

Absolutely, worth to be seen.
