It's interesting to see how divided the audience is on this one. Some viewers seem to dismiss it too quickly, but if you actually take the time to watch the film, you'll find that it's far more original and clever than you might expect. Without giving away any spoilers, I have to say the writing in this movie is incredibly sharp. The way the story unfolds is proof that the writers put a lot of thought into crafting something unique, and the payoff at the end makes it even more rewarding.
One thing to note is that this isn't a film packed with A-list Hollywood stars. If you're someone who only watches movies based on big-name actors, this might not be your cup of tea. However, what it lacks in marquee names, it more than makes up for with strong performances and a few great cameos that steal the show.
Enrico Colantoni, for example, makes a rare but fantastic appearance. If you're familiar with his work, you'll know he's usually in more serious or dramatic roles, so seeing him in this setting is both refreshing and hilarious. There were moments where I found myself laughing uncontrollably at his delivery and comedic timing. It's one of those performances that sticks with you and makes you wish he'd take on more roles like this.
Another standout cameo comes from Robb Wells, best known from Trailer Park Boys. Fans of the show will appreciate his presence here, as he brings that same chaotic yet lovable energy to the screen. His comedic instincts are sharp, and he effortlessly fits into the film's offbeat tone.
And then there's Jann Arden-yes, you read that right! The Canadian singer-songwriter pops up in a role that will leave you both surprised and amused. It's always fun when someone known for something completely different takes on an acting role, and she does a great job here.
As for the main cast, they may not be household names yet, and there are moments where you can tell they're still a little green. However, they hold their own, and their performances are engaging enough to keep you invested in the story. They bring a certain charm and authenticity that works well within the film's quirky and unpredictable nature.
What really makes this movie stand out is how it keeps you on your toes. Just when you think you've figured it out, it throws something unexpected your way. There's a certain cleverness in how it plays with audience expectations, and that's something I really appreciated. It's not often that a film manages to balance humor, suspense, and originality so well, but this one pulls it off.
And then there's that twist. Without revealing anything, I'll just say that it was executed brilliantly. It adds an extra layer to the entire experience, making you want to go back and rewatch certain moments with fresh eyes. It's the kind of twist that doesn't feel forced or gimmicky but rather enhances everything that came before it.
I'd definitely recommend giving this movie a chance. It's entertaining from start to finish, and while it may not be perfect, it's refreshing to see something that dares to be different. Just make sure you watch carefully-there are plenty of little details that make it even more enjoyable on a second viewing!

I'm rating this one a 7/10. You might look at that score and think that it means it's a mediocre movie, but it doesn't mean that. This movie is better than mediocre, it's ok. It's not good otherwise I would have given it an 8, but it's close. I had fun watching it, I was looking for movies about time loops and this was kinda what I was looking for. I was intrigued with the whole concept explained in that movies about zombies in Las Vegas, I can't remember it's name at the moment. So yeah I was looking for some kind of funny comedy about time loops like it was a videogame. Imagine it as a game, a videogame.
Oh my goodness!!! Even Enrico who brings passion and creativity to every role COULDNT save this! Did they kidnap your family and hold them for ransom? The ransom being you participating in this film.
Well I guess everyone had an off day or a few, as this clearly wasn't filmed in 24 hours. Or maybe it was...I fast forwarded through almost all of it only pausing for the scenes Enrico was in...I guess the naysayers were right-NOBODY is perfect, although prior to watching this I was pretty much thinking ( and saying) Enrico was...
So no more like this please! My heart can't take it. Just post a warning label or something over the opening credits to warn those of us who are your biggest fans....

Watched Vandits 7 times. So technically, I've actually seen it 28 times with the Groundhog Day type storyline. Super original plot. I would have never thought anyone could extract so many dope scenes/concepts out of a bingo hall. Soundtrack's always on point with 5'7 Films. Right from the start with all the bass in the intro song...me and Oskar are still chanting "Merry Christmas, Merry Merry Christmas" and it ain't even Christmas anymore. Casting was on point heavy, and the on-screen chemistry of the entire cast couldn't have been more beautiful. You can tell everyone understood the assignment. Without having to break down every brilliant scene, just please know that I get ALL of the humor and couldn't have been more captivated/satisfied the entire time. I can probably recite the entire movie front to back, as there are so many quotables. It's a hilarious trip that I've taken several people on, and will continue too do so. I also just wanna say, Tony Nappo is a brilliant actor and I'm glad you guys see that in him and use him as much as you do. He's got an amazing range, and I can tell he probably ads a lot of improv that you guys more than likely keep. He reminds me of a mix between Steven Ogg, Bob Odenkirk, and Vince Vaughn all wrapped up into one Tony Nappo. Everyone stepped up, and I feel wouldn't be a completely dope project if you were to subtract any cast member from the mix. I really think this one was perfect exactly as is, and wouldn't change a thing. I genuinely, hysterically cried of laughter at some points. Like laughter that I haven't felt in as long as I can remember, and uncontrollable. Literal laugh attacks. That to me is priceless, and something the world needs a hell of a lot more of. Thanks for giving me the ability to genuinely turn off the stresses/pressures of the world for a solid hour and a half. Anyways...you guys are magicians with what you do, and I'm continuously amazed at every 5'7 Films project. Definitely looking forward to the next one. Respect.
So I found this almost by accident and I've got to say, I have seen films that must have cost 1000 times more to make, that are far less entertaining.
It's obviously been made on a bit of a shoestring budget, (indeed, during the end credits, it even points out that all of their gear was stolen the night before they started shooting) but they really did an alright job. There's no real bad acting and the story is more than acceptable.
It's hardly Oscar material, but you could do a whole lot worse if you're bored and want some Indi entertainment with some quirky laughs.
Well done to all involved.
