A new and different approach to classic interviews. At first, an idea of eating chicken wings with hot sauce during an interview on Youtube doesn't sound revolutionary, but I think it's truly a innovative way of doing it.
Add one of the best interviewers around on stage along with extremely well selected guests every episode, and you get a show that has grown well over it's own limits.
I hope they stay on Youtube though, since it feels right for the show.
Ten wings. Ten questions. With every question the wing gets hotter.
Big celebrities opens up ways you never thought 'em would. This show is no main stream red carpet show. Seans guests let their guard down as they dive deeper into the abyss of scoville and share their personal thoughts and feelings you'd never see on regular talk shows.
It should not go unsaid, Sean is very a competent interviewer, who digs up questions beyond expectations. Guests have the tendency to compliment Sean on this many times.
When eating hot food, something wonderful is happening to your body and mind. You loosen up. You bond over hot food. It's beautiful.
Me and my friends eat hot wings while watching this show. Like Whiskey, beers, wine or whatever - there is an endless stream flavors and impressions to sense out in the world of chili.
Hats down for making this show Sean - I would love to eat hot wings with you!

I was going to give this a 6 but a few recurring themes troubled me.
Great questions and asked very eloquently shows that serious thought was put into what to ask the guest, but you can't tell me they weren't forewarned. Their answers are consistently just as thought out and answered. Also, no controversial items are brought up, at all which is probably why he has had such a good range of guests. However, that doesn't make for an interesting interview and most are forgotten as soon as the the show is finished. It also reeks of self promotion on behalf of the guest.
The other consistent theme is Sean Evans always copies the guests reaction, whether it's the portion sampled or the reaction to the heat. If the guest is struggling so is he, if they sail through without much of a reaction, so does he. Once even the crew mopped his dry forehead as the guest was sweating bullets. He eats so much of this he has to be comfortable with the heat level by now. This gives it a feeling of being disingenuous. That along with repetitious introductions and ending which could be altered to be more interesting mark this as a 4. Shame really, it could be a 6 with better production values.

There's nothing like dumbing down America even more than they already are. This is absolutely one of the stupidest ideas for a show I have ever seen. Come on guys, come up with some good ideas for shows, instead of just pulling stuff out of your, well you know, like it seems you did for this show.
This is an entertaining channel. Sean Evans is a great host/interviewer. The twist of getting his guest to eat hot wings makes this show very different. All the celebrities he interviews is very surprising for being a YouTube channel. This show needs to be on Netflix or Hulu if already not.
If you don't like talk shows with the Hollywood BS, watch Hot Ones on their YouTube channel First We Feast.
