Trama

After 60 years of living in a poor neighborhood, a woman is finally able to move up in the world. Hye Ja (Kim Hye Ja) decides to move to the upscale Cheongdam-dong area of Gangnam, Seoul, and her daughter, Ji Eun (Oh Ji Eun), dreams of living in the midst of luxurious shopping, restaurants and residences for the first time in her life.

This is a story about an ordinary family struggling to become residents of Chungdam Dong, a rich neighborhood in Korea equivalent to Beverly Hills in LA. Kim Hye Ja is a housewife living in the countryside who has never lived in Seoul before. One day, she finds out that a friend from her hometown who owned a comic shop in Chungdam Dong died by accident. She decides to move into the deceased friend's apartment on the store's second floor with her entire family, finally fulfilling her dream of becoming a coveted resident of Chungdam Dong. However, their new home is an old, broken down apartment which is nothing like the luxurious living place common in their former neighborhood. In fact, nothing has changed except for her address. Now, she has to live among st the Chungdam Dong residents. The story depicts an interesting struggle between becoming rich and being genuine, among various people including Ji Eun, her daughter who dreams of living a luxurious life, Sang Yeop, a young man in the neighborhood, Gwan Woo, the boss of a defunct entertainment agency, Bo Hee, a famous actress from the past, and other various Korean Wave stars.—JTBC
