    Conflicted about this

I was surprised that I enjoyed season 1 as much as I did, so I was lookin g forward to season 2, only to find that I had a difficult time getting into the story. Part of it was how sad it was for about 12 episodes until Tokyo when she was finally able to start letting go. But crying for 12 episodes straight was not fun. I put the show on hold a couple of times before deciding to continue.

After Tokyo, the story picked up and it was more enjoyable. As much as I like Sean Chen as Fang Ting Hao, I was pretty unhappy when he manipulated his 3-month promise from Qi Bai Cao. His obsession with her and wanting to control her was out of hand, even though he did many things to help her.

I felt that the second ML and FL had more chemistry in season 1 than 2. I know Yi Feng was away a lot in season 2 but I no longer felt their connection and rapport this season. It was so evident and cute in the first season. On the other hand, Chang An went through tremendous growth and was really fun to watch. I especially enjoyed his interactions with Fang Ting Hao.

The ending felt abrupt, even with 35 episodes. We did get clues about where everyone was headed, but it still felt very abrupt.

    Transparent, poorly acted and written

Just like season 1 we see the one girl who is much sought after in an attempted love triagle, and yet she doesn't really care as still in a love with a maybe dead man. Hints of her love possibly not being dead surface, and no funeral ever shown even if most people decided he was dead.

The season shows the rise and fall and attempted rise again of our whirlwind girl in truly transparent and totally predictable style as she hides away from the world after injuring an oponent. Despite knowing, being repetitive told and treated like crap, she continues as doormat girl, who lives to be walked all over.

The script gets worse when supposed enemies become friends, the unreasonable, reasonable and vie versa as the sucky Song Bai. Hall fights for survival, Sadly the poor writing, poor martial artists of Song Bai make this a challenge, with the usual characters the heros. Is sad, cheesy, predictable, some will love it, me i know it could never compete with a half decent drama yet alone other Martial Arts dramas like Sweet Combat.

With toxic coaching, it cost what it cost to win.

I started watching this series because of one of the actors from the second season (Ji Chang Wook) so that I can get the gist of this and the other series. Personally, I would have liked it if Qi Bai Cao's actress had not been changed. To recommend the first season of the series (Tornando girl) and then only the second season Whirlwind girl). This series is known to have a lot of action, romance and drama. Competition and fighting in scenes will have a bad effect. Not suitable for the most sensitive even though the age limit is K-12. A romantic drama comedy with a strong emphasis on taekwondo. The downside in both seasons are the fat-phobic repls in a couple of episodes, toxic and problematic coach/student relationships, questionable male characters. One-sided crushes, morbid jealousy and control that I wouldn't wish on anyone in any human relationship. Personally, I would have hoped and written the script for the main character of the series to have more self-esteem, a sense of self-worth, the ability to leave or take a distance from the toxic coachs who did not appreciate the girl's help. In this second season, the girl Qi Bao Cao's mental health is really hard and she can't really rest except when she has to. In addition, it was a bit annoying that certain characters TingHao Fang & Tingfyi Fang were hanging on to their one-sided crush and didn't understand how to end it, no matter how well they knew about it. Fortunately, I didn't check these series back then as a teenager, because those things might have triggered me. Fortunately, these days I can filter those things out of my mind.
