A blind old man and a young bank loan recovery agent, ironically both coming from two extreme weather conditions having zero contribution to the global climate change, fight for their survival. Once famous for it's farming, the people of Mahua region have forgotten the earthy scent of rain fall on their soil. Erratic and receding rainfall has led many farmers into debt traps set out as loans offered by banks. Unable to grow food grain anymore and to escape repayments, the only way out is sacrificing their own life. Blind father of a farmer fears his depressed son may commit suicide. Ruthless in his ways to repossess loans, a bank loan recovery agent arrives with a growing list of suicides attributed to him locally known as 'death god'. The father finds his son's life threatened the pressure of bank repayment. In case of the agent, fierce sea, regular floods and frequent cyclone threatens his family in far off coastal . The blind father meets the agent with a request to defer his son's debt. Angry rejection from the agent and mutual dislike soon develops into an odd partnership. Each wanting to save their own family. Human emotions take over inhuman realities of climate change. Embroiled together, their fates tremble under the pressure of two extreme weather conditions. Dark wind, is not just a fiction. It's an eye-opening portrayal of the suffering of people and it is a wakeup call for the society still unprepared to face the consequences of their actions on climate change.

Why Gully Boy - This type of movies are for oscars.

Not a normal entertaining movie in which you found a actor/actress, songs, drama etcectra etcectra. A very impactful and depressing movie.It will blow your mind. You can just think really my life is challenging. This is the harsh truth of our so called modern India. The farmers are to be the most respected and irony is that the farmer suicide in India is worst and increasing every year. No any government show a prominent and long term solution for the farmer. Just make a propaganda only before the election. This tyoe of movie really deserves some honour. The movie shows 2 sides of a farmer's life.A drought area of Rajasthan and flooded aream of Odisha also mentioned. The movie also shows the problem and really a major problem of Climste change.Our government should have to take an effective and long term solution to conserve our environment.Hope for a better India.

One film potrayes the horrors of climate change from 2 sides. One where there is no rain, others where there is cyclone and floods. Also the vecious cycle of loans and farmers suicide. All potrayed simultaneously in utmost synergy

A rare but stunning masterpiece

This movie is what is needed to underscore the importance of addressing climate change. This is particularly true for villages and remote areas of the world that are experiencing the aftermath of global warming. Either too much or rain or no rain. The price is being paid by poor farmers or laborers.

As always, an amazing acting by Sanjay Mishra and Ranvir Shorey not to mention by Tillotama Shome. Great story line and cinematography! Such movies must be sent as Academy Awards entries from Bollywood. This movie shows the true art of moviemaking to highlight a critical global issue. An extraordinary movie!!

Dissipates the bridge between fiction and reality.

This is kind of movie which everyone should watch, but no one watches. It shows the irony in a way as beautiful as it can be. Both actors have performed purely in depth. Despite the art that movie contains, it went a flop. Reason being the people that watch egg-headed comedies and leave breath-taking art, later on blaming the Indian cinema for not making good stuffs. India is at flaw because of Indians.
