Easy to watch transporting one to Spain and music good. Only criticism would be that main character could have improved his trumpet playing technique. Otherwise good entertainment for all ages.

I already love Spain but this reminded me why; if you're looking for a heart-warming and gentle film - this is the one for you.

My girlfriend said it is the worst film she ever saw. I wouldn't go that far, but the film is really lame. There is no excitement whatsoever, not even in the music, although the entire plot centers around it. Everything goes VERY slow. At every moment you can easily guess the next step of the story and the end is predictable to every detail. Even when all of a sudden some unexpected drama evolves out of nothing in the middle of the film, nothing really happens and you are left with guessing what's going on. The worst thing about this film are the helpless unoriginal dialogues full of cliché emotions and lack of ideas. The film is neither real nor a firework of phantasy. I only give the second star for the beauty of the Spanish landscape and the picturesque group of ex-friends of the main actor's father at the funeral at the very beginning of the film.

I love this rom com! From start to finish a warm centred joy.

In these trying times we need a feel good story about the spirit of community and the harmony of true love uniting us across rivalry, national and musical divides.

Love it. Watch it!

So, this popped up in my recommendations on Prime. I checked IMDB and it was 9.1!?! Seemed like a no brainer, right?

Wrong.

Look, I have no problem with harmless excapism but this film is borderline odd (see scene where the main character is playing trumpet noises on his laptop in the middle of a hedge, no seriously....)

The acting is questionable and the character development is completely predictable whilst, somehow, also completely disjointed.

It's a 2.0 at best (although I'm rating 1 to help bring balance back to rating)

Do youself a favour and watch something else.

This movie was definitely the worst movie I saw in the last 10 years. Story, acting, cinematography... everything was terrible. Save yourself some time, don't watch it !

Really enjoyed it. Great setting which the film makes the most of. Loved the script.

This is a real 'feel good' film. It has been a few years since I have seen a romantic comedy of this quality. One is not only smiling throughout the viewing but also left remembering the lines that stood out. As a fan of the Richard Curtis genre, this is right up there. Good script and great performances. Would watch again several times.

Good comedy movie with a soundtrack and score that is truely brilliant.

Loved watching this with my boyfriend!! Loved the romance and the humour in the film and the music made it really enjoyable and up lifting. A must watch!!

What an awesome film to watch. We laughed out loud all the way through. Set in beautiful spain we enjoyed the story that lead us to a fun ending. A must see if you enjoy a feel good movie.

Really enjoyed watching Solo! Such a sweet story with a great message. I also loved how they portrayed the real spirit of a Spanish village. Highly recommend if you're looking for something to make you smile or even weep a bit - in a good way. :)

Great comedy movie that allows you escape to a sunny Spanish rural town. A really good laugh with a terrific soundtrack to accompany the beautifully shot scenes in the Spanish countryside. This is 'Brassed off' meets 'Avanti'! :-) Enjoy!

The perfect film to curl up in front of on a cold wet Sunday in February. The Spanish sun and the amazing cast of locals will bring a smile to anyone's face.

An English trumpet player sets off to Spain to refurbish and sell a house his father left him after he died. Little does he know his dad also left him his bad reputation in the town so that when he begins to develop feelings for a local Spanish girl he's not sure he can reveal who he really is. Using his music talents to revive the local jaded brass band back into action he's keen to make his own mark that sets him apart from his family history. Beautiful production harnessing the natural elememts of Spanish small town life. Lovely soundtrack, great characters, full of charm! Does make you want to live in Spain though.

A delight to watch this joyful movie full of small town charm about a young man who sets off to Spain to sell a rundown house he inherited when his father died. Little does he expect to be embraced into it's charms when he rescues the local band with his trumpet talents. However, he is hiding in the shadow of his father's bad legacy left in the town. Will he risk lifting his veil for the love of a local Spanish girl? Excellent brass band music and soundtrack to the film. Great humour in the smaller parts. Candela Gomez, Jamie Pujol and Ben Freeman all ones to watch!

Loved everything about this, from the beautiful Spanish village to the incredible music that runs through it, right down to the incidental characters. Really funny from start to finish.

One of those stories that you can just let unfold and know you will feel good at the end. The scenery around this story was amazing and I would love to visit one day. If you loves humour, music, travel, food and wine, good acting and cinematphotography then watch this movie. I could almost feel the joy everyone had making this movie and I wish to congrate you all.
