Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate

I actually quite enjoyed this movie but omg Rex was just horrible to watch. Ruined the entire movie for me!

I am a HUGE Bianca fan, but this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Bianca and Katya are cute and funny, but that Rex guy.... I am still cringing when I think about him. The worst actor ever, seems like a demented sick person, I felt extremely uncomfortable watching him... So disappointed! I highly recommend not watching the sequel

I absolutely love Bianca, but this movie was a let down compared to the first one. I didn't really like Rex. Storyline, dialogues etc were a bit weak, and not everything was as funny as it possibly could have been. I was expecting more. The cast itself was good.

...When a certain drag queen made her cameo (you'll know it when you see it). The fact that this movie squanders the talents of such an obviously talented cast makes it feel like an embarrassment. I love RuPaul's Drag Race, Katya, Bianca Del Rio, Shangela, Cheyenne Jackson, Rachel Dratch: nearly the entire cast (except the guy who plays Rex, Paul Hault? who was both overused and irritating in this movie) but they need a script that makes use of their comedic chops. While Bianca Del Rio and Katya are absolutely hysterical in certain contexts their dialogue does them no favors and the plot allows them no chances to be clever. Rachel Dratch's Debbie comes off like a 2-D small-town caricature. I wanted to like this movie and I feel like with the right people at the script level the cast could really shine, however Hurricane Bianca is a storm in which the lightning did not strike twice, (or once, if we're being honest).

Loved Katya, enjoyed Bianca and Rachel Dratch, but that Rex character made me feel severe... discomfort. He didn't come off so much stupid as he desperately needed a state-appointed guardian. I had a small respite when they were imprisoned, he dropped the baby talk and the writing improved... his jokes took the forefront for far too long of the movie.

I'll check out the next Bianca flick, but please no more of this chicanery.
