Gene Siskel: [discussing "Let it Ride"] This picture has a very fresh, unpredictable ending and I liked the courage of that, too. I'm right, and the other critics are wrong.
Roger Ebert: Some of the critics are wrong, you're undoubtedly right, and I'm completely in the dark. I never saw this movie, I never heard of this movie. Did it open in theaters?
Gene Siskel: It DID - lemme tell ya something what happened here. I think the picture, it did open, and people that I've seen at the race track, they all like it, and think it's good, so if the subject interests you, either gambling or horses or things like that, I think it might be fun. Richard Dreyfuss, because you would know...
Roger Ebert: Well I like Richard Dreyfuss.
Gene Siskel: I think this is the kind of part that we have both liked.
Roger Ebert: This movie, was this while I was on vacation and you went to the movies for fun, or what?
Gene Siskel: Maybe so. I think it was a summer release.
Roger Ebert: Because it certainly sank without any trace, and that's what this show is for, to give some of these movies another chance.
Gene Siskel: Will YOU take a chance and see it?
Roger Ebert: On YOUR word? Maybe.
