Damien Leone, writer-director of the cult horror series Terrifier, has confirmed that the fourth installment will unveil Art the Clown’s origin story within the opening fifteen minutes of the film. Leone recently told 3C Films’ Cris Parker that the backstory reveal is designed to be “epic” and “not going to disappoint,” signaling a shift towards deeper narrative exploration.

The screenplay for Terrifier 4 is currently in development, with Leone indicating that this chapter will bring closure to Art’s arc and set the stage for the series’ conclusion. While a formal release date remains unannounced, fans anticipate a late 2026 debut based on previous two-year intervals between sequels.

Since its debut in 2016, the Terrifier franchise has thrived on the anonymity and terror of Art the Clown, portrayed most recently by David Howard Thornton. Earlier entries focused almost exclusively on graphic kills and tension, leaving viewers to construct their own theories about the killer’s origins.

After all the hype NBC built around a Suits spinoff, the network decided to cancel Suits: LA after its first season. As the network announced its fall schedule, it was clear that execs had to make some major sacrifices to make room for the NBA season. While shows like Found, The Irrational, Lopez vs. Lopez, and Night Court also received the axe, I was not expecting Suits: LA‘s scrapping.

Honestly, the show failed to take advantage of the popularity of its prequel show, starring Gabriel Macht. While I expected something similar in tone to Suits, the LA version failed to make a case for itself. CBS’ long-running “60 Minutes” has been nominated for 13 News & Documentary Emmy Awards, which the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced on Thursday.

Of those 13 nods, one was for “The Democratic Ticket,” the episode that aired on Oct. 7, 2024, in which Bill Whitaker interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris and that Donald Trump claimed was “a giant Fake News Scam,” accusing CBS of deceitfully editing her answer about Gaza and filing a $20 billion lawsuit stating as much (CBS has maintained Trump’s claims are false).

Tony Revolori has played Flash Thompson in the MCU Spider-Man movies ever since Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, despite his character having a long history in the comics, he hasn't really had a whole lot to do.

Revolori's Flash is a more modern take on the character. He bullies Tom Holland's Peter Parker emotionally rather than physically, and doesn't become friends with him later the way the Flash of the comics does. Jackson Hughes got his first Lego set, the Adventurer’s Scorpion Tracker, as a gift from his best friend when he was a child. But no good deed goes unpunished, especially in the reckless days of childhood, and a few years later, when he was roughhousing at the best friend’s home, the Lego version of a starship flown by Star Wars character Jango Fett came crashing off the top of a bookshelf. Michael Mann has officially finished the screenplay for “Heat 2,” the long-awaited sequel to his 1995 crime drama starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

In response to a question about the the status of the project in an interview with Vulture, the legendary director said that he had “just finished the screenplay and handed in the first draft.” When asked who he handed it to exactly, Mann said Warner Bros., who released the first film. “Any more than that, I can’t talk about. But it’s an exciting project,” he added.

Mann had previously said during a masterclass at the Red Sea Film Festival that the script had “to be finished pretty soon” and that he would be doing so “on the plane ride back to Los Angeles.”

That being said, when the work is a two hour and forty-five minute biographical drama about a tobacco industry whistleblower, he recognizes the details may in fact be what turns people off.

Is Mid-Century Modern the next Golden Girls? If you ask some critics, maybe!

As of Thursday afternoon, the new Hulu comedy, premiering Friday with all 10 episodes, has a generally favorable score of 73 on Metacritic based on five reviews and a fresh rating of 88 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

"The series is a mostly delightful comedy that blends the wit of their groundbreaking sitcom with the charm of The Golden Girls," Variety's Aramide Tinubu says.

Created by Will & Grace's David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, Mid-Century Modern stars Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Nathan Lee Graham as three gay friends of a certain age who move in together in Palm Springs after a friend's death. It's a true sitcom throwback, shot as a multicam in front of a live audience with the legendary James Burrows directing. The series also features the final TV performance from Linda Lavin, who died in December midway through production.

Quiver Distribution has acquired the North American rights to “Off the Record,” a drama that written and directed by stuntwoman turned filmmaker Kirsten Foe.

The film stars Rainey Qualley (“Mad Men“) and Ryan Hansen (“Veronica Mars”). It follows Astor Grey, a rising singer-songwriter whose life takes a dark turn when she enters a turbulent romance with washed-up rock star Brandyn Verge. What begins as a whirlwind love story becomes a darker look at manipulation and resilience. The ensemble also includes Rebecca De Mornay, Olivia Sui, Julia Campbell, and Will Peltz. There are also cameos by Billy Gibbons (Zz Top), Peyton Manning, and Edgerrin James.

John Frost is a newer addition to the Med cast, but we are still getting a feel for who he is and what he's been through. There are still lots of blanks to be filled in, and Darren Barnet, the actor who plays him, revealed that a newcomer will help to do just that.
