We have to appreciate director for the direction,and a brilliant screenplay,finally a blockbuster movie.

It is very hard to make a flim like druva. Ram charan was completely fit in the role of druva. Colour grading, bgm, editing, visual effects was very nice. A treat to watch.

What a taking by the director.. Ram charan's ultra stylish performance.. Music is tooo good.. the best Villian characterization is the cine history..❤

Dhruva is a milestone for Ram Charan. Performance wise Ram Charan gave his Best in this movie. Although, it is a remake this film gave a very good respect to the original movie never changed anything but while watching this movie you'll never get bored. Especially Aravaind swami gave a magic performances in many scenes. Other actors like Rakul Preet, Navdeep and Posani has done their part. Another asset for this movie is music.It was composed by Hiphop Tamizha, tunes are very good with gripping Background. Everything in this movie was perfect costumes of every actor represents their character cinematography looks very rich Finally Dhruva is a two men show

#Dhruva Starts off like a regular movie but hang on.. there's an engaging screenplay ahead. No wonder this was a hit movie in Tamil.. richly shot scenes can make the Telugu version a bigger hit. Ramcharan showcased emotions in some scenes will sure be facepalm for many. Probably his best action in some time. His physical efforts are visible in the movie. When you have such a handsome antagonist(Aravind Swamy), cant ask for a better visual treat. You want to be on his side, but only at the end.(why? Watch movie). BGM is haunting and there are just a few songs and they appear distractive, such tight is the screenplay. Well..they will help you slide back into your seats from the edges. Haven't watched the Tamil version but guess SurenderReddy has honestly made this remake a worth watch. Especially the last 30mins is a treat. Go watch this last hit movie of 2016!!

The movie starts with slow pace for 15 minutes then tracks to racy. Every minute of this movie is worth watching.This is Ram Charan's best in his career. Acting wise Charan had done justice to it he is improving film by film. Rakul Preet cute and hot as ever. Aravind Swamy is superb. Navdeep had nailed his character. Direction of Surender Reddy is superb his demands really worked out. Cinematography is awesome. Songs were uniquely awesome, Pareshanura song is my favorite, Neethoney Dance song Charan dance moves pretty cool really enjoyed. Overall movie is pure Blockbuster. Yes its best movie of Tollywood this year. A perfect end and more importantly its better than original Thani Oruvan.

Dhruva (2016): If you ask most of the film about their best movies of 2015,they will surely have Thani Oruvan in their list (including mine).Thani Oruvan is one of the best movies with best mind game between hero and villain in recent times.When Ram Charan announced that he is keen on doing a remake with Surender Reddy as director,most of the fans of original doubted about the remake.When the teaser was out, it did feel like he tried to do something different.How is this remake??

Plot: Dhruva (Ram Charan) a newly recruited IPS officer makes friends with like-minded police officers during the training period, who take time off during training period and silently go about helping police catch the criminals.Dhruva's supreme officer's daughter Ishika (Rakul) loves him but he doesn't show much interest in romance. When she confronts him and asks about his disappearing from time to time, Dhruva reveals that he has a secret hide-away from where he tries to hunt various criminals based on newspaper reports.During his chase, he figures out that one scientist named Siddharth Abhimanyu (Aravind Swamy) operates through a huge network of criminals, corporate biggies and politicians. Dhruva takes up the challenge of exposing the scientist. What happens next?Did Dhruva reached his goal of eliminating crime?

1)Story and Screenplay: Dhruva is a faithful remake of Thani Oruvan.Except few scenes,most of the movie is a ditto of Thani Oruvan including dialogues.We can easily see that Surender Reddy tried nothing new such that originality's essence is maintained.He is highly successful in that.Screenplay of this movie moves at fast pace and we never get bored.Even the one who watched Thani Oruvan will never get bored in Dhruva because of the gripping screenplay by Mohan Raja and Subha.

2)Performances: Thani Oruvan/Dhruva entirely belongs to Aravind Swamy who played the antagonist rule Sidharth Abhimanyu.The film is dominated by the presence of the movie's villain, played by Aravind Swamy. The role he gets to play is charismatic and the handsome actor has performed it impeccably. Aravind Swamy carries off his role in style. In fact, his role is colorful and his act makes it very interesting. Ram Charan gave his career best performance after Orange.He has shown great efforts to play his role perfectly.Rakul is beautiful.Posani got good role after a long time.

3)Music: Hip Hop Thamizha's songs are decent but scored big with their brilliant background score.They used the original's Siddharth Abhimanyu's theme music which is remarkable.Dhruva's theme which is different from original is very good.

4)Editing: The splitting of screen in second half created a huge impact in engaging us into the movie.

Minus Points:

1)Duration: Though we may never get bored,movie's duration seems lengthy with 2hr45min duration.

So,Dhruva gives ultimate experience to those who didn't watch its original and to those who watched original can watch it again because of its masterpiece screenplay.

I did not watch Thani Oruvan before Dhruva. So mine is an open review! I give my review only to movies I really loved watching. I don't want to waste time to show hatred. Talking about Dhruva, this movie had impressed me so much that nothing comes close to this in 2016. The script was excellent and far better than any routine stupid drama movies we see these days. Technical brilliance must be appreciated. Even though its a remake, the director and actors took it as a challenge and made it a visual feast to the audience. If you didn't know the script before-hand, then the tension that was carried out will make you enjoy the thrill you face. So I recommend the people who have not seen Tamil version to go to this movie and you will experience great joy. Even if you have seen Tamil version, this movie is so good to watch & shows its technical superiority. What's for the cine goers(physical & technical aspects): Ram Charan- Excellent physique(he really worked out), Great acting(better than his previous films), looked extremely stylish Rakul Preet- Ravishing body(exclusively hot in songs)& good acting(the mirror scene-audience really enjoyed the love expression) Director Surrender Reddy- Improved his directional style. I liked Racegurram but this one was even better in terms of screenplay & cinematography. Aravind Swamy- Incredible and he looked scary with decent looks. Great acting as well. Others- Navdeep did a great job and other artists did very well in their roles. What not to expect: Not a lot of comedy but there are few jokes and the thrill you face makes you forget about the comedy. So don't worry about it. Overall: The best movie of this year in Telugu! Go for it. Demonetization had shown some its effect on the collection otherwise it would have already broken many records considering the strength that the movie has!

What amazing acting by Arvind Swamy-Movie could have been much better by showing Arvind the hero instead of what they showed in last 15 mins of film. Ram Charan - mega star but nothing compared to Arvind swamy

Siddharth Abhimanyu (who grows up to be Arvind Swamy) who goes to jail for a crime he didn't commit, so that his father (Posani) could get an MLA ticket in return. Cut to the present when Dhruva (Ram Charan) an IPS trainee, is introduced as a do-good-er despite bending a few rules with his friends to solve petty crimes. Dhruva lives by the philosophy that "your enemy decides your capacity" and he aims to choose an enemy who has the power to control "a 100 criminals".Siddharth Abhimanyu (Arvind Swamy) is an young and top scientist in India who has a criminal network which he operates clandestinely. Dhruva who is looking for a bigger target stumbles upon the secret criminal activities of Siddharth. Rest of the story is all about how they outsmart each other before Dhruva winning the duel.Ram Charan is perfect for the role of a tough and an intelligent cop. His physical transformation (6-pack and hair-cup) suited the character excellently. His styling is great. His performance in a couple of scenes (proposal scene to heroine and death scene of a friend) is first-rate. Arvind Swamy proves that audiences can also fall in love with a villain while rooting for the hero. The writer has redefined the role of a villain with such a good looking, intelligent yet evil character and Arvind Swamy entices you with his terrific performance. Rakul Preet Singh brings glamour and love to this otherwise intense drama. Navdeep and Randhir are good as few of Dhruva's buddies. The character of Posani Krishna Murali provides a bit of comic relief (though didn't yield the desired results fully). Sayaji Shinde and Madhu Singampalli (Chakravakam fame) are good as baddies.

Pretty boring movie when compared to the Tamil original which is a master piece in the screen play and story. The Telugu version if full of passionless acting by the lead characters (both hero and anti-hero). So it is purely a waste of remake.

This movie is phenomenal. The plot is incredibly suspenseful and has the viewer engaged the whole time. The music fits in really well to the movie and adds a great zest to this already amazing story. Ram Charan's look and physique is beyond amazing and the song "Dhruva Dhruva" is very inspirational and changed my life forever. This one song led me to go to the gym and become the beast that I have always wanted to be. Arvind Swamy's acting steals the show and he is an amazing cast for the villian. This movie will never get old and will always be my biggest inspiration.

Dhruva is an action thriller movie directed by Surender Reddy and stars Ram Charan, Arvind Swamy, Rakul Preet Singh, Navdeep, Posani Krishna Murali, Sayaji Shinde and Nassar.

An interesting and fast paced movie of hero trying to nab a villain and that too an intelligent villain and save his nation and how that's unfolds is in the movie.

The plot is simple yet interesting, the first half drags a little bit and by inserting somewhat irritating and unnecessary romantic angel could ire some viewers as these movies should always be fast paced. Second half is good and gives a glimpse of an great showdown between the good and the bad and the viewers will not be disappointed.

The acting is superb and the catchy background music played on every screen appearance of Arvind Swamy is mesmerising. On the other hand Ram Charan gives a glimpse of his Father and was equally impressive. Rakul Preet has very little to do and she was ok, rest of the cast were also equally impressive.

Music is good and background music deserves special applause which always lift up the mood. Climax is intelligent and entertaining.

Overall a visually impressive movie with some good cinematography, locations and off course the superb acting by Ram Charan and Arvind Swamy. A must watch.

Dhruva is the perfect action thriller. The concept is refreshing and striking.

Direction, background music and acting is first rate.

Ram charan teja is here to stay. Arvind swamy has also done a fabulous job.

A must watch movie at any cost.

It was a good movie and i felt that he has improved his acting skills a lot compare to his previous films. Ramcharan performance was simply superb. Aravindswamy did a great job compare to original. Music is more asset to the film, he did a great a job. Telugu version has been designed with high standard values. Rakul was good and other friend characters also designed well. Director did few changes compare to original which went fine.

Plus Points: BGM, Screenplay, Charan and Aravindswamy. Minus Points: First30 mints went bit slow.

Overall movie was good.

Dhruva is a complete "Ram Charan" game and of course, he won the game as well by his performance and attitude in this role (Perfectly suited).

The story is really excited me to watch continuously without pause in my movements. Here, this credit goes to director "Surendhar Reddy".

We must talk about the story writer "Mohan Raja" because he wrote the story in such a way that how the combination of business and political people can destroy the society if they choose the wrong way to benefit themselves only.

I always believe in the background music will drive the advantage to the story, and it's done here. Hats off to Music director "Hiphop Tamizha".

If you want to recognize your strengths you should compete with the person who is stronger than you, here this stronger one is none other than "Arvind Swamy".

One of the messages which I liked more in this film is that the selection of "TARGET" before joining into the actual job, this drives me again to make sure about the target before, it means always we should do ground/basic work for any kind of work which we aim to do.

Moral of the film:

In my view, anyone who may be very intellectual in his/her profession, but if he/she chooses an incorrect way to reach his/her goals will not able to end up with a right flat form at all.

Bottom-line of the film:

A man can able to "LOCK" his opponent only, but a POLICEMAN can even "UNLOCK" his opponent.

Charan's hard work and dedication are clearly visible in every frame of Dhruva. Right from his ripped body to his screen presence as a cop, Charan has done a fabulous job. Performance wise, he has improved a lot as he is exceptional in all the confrontational scenes. Aravind Swamy is the surprise package of the film and does a superb job in his negative role. His role elevates the film completely and pushes Ram Charan to give his best. Half of the success of Aravind Swamy's credit should go to Hema Chandra's superb dubbing which gives that required edge to his role.Charan's hard work and dedication are clearly visible in every frame of Dhruva. To begin with, the movie is visually incredible. This includes the actors, the cinematography, the locations and the artwork that went into each and every scene. Ram Charan looks his fittest best. As an actor Ram Charan impresses in all the scenes that required high emotion. The scene where he proposes to Ishika (Rakul Preet Singh) without letting Siddharth Abhimanyu who has him bugged know, would have you fall in love with Dhruva. And as for the scenes where he had to be elevated as the hero, they will not disappoint his fans. Rakul stayed true to the role given to her and delivered. Arvind Swamy though stole the show. You will find yourself waiting for him to appear on screen through the film. His entry in the film - appearing from the smoke as he walks out of his glass laboratory - is perhaps just as much grandiose as that of a star hero. That sums up how important he is to the film.

He little details added in the hero's personality, including the uber-fit body and the pen-clicking habit of his, added depth to Dhruva's character. The final showdown between Dhruva and Siddhartha is what you should be looking forward to. More for watching Arvind Swamy than the climax. Before you know it you will love to hate Siddharth Abhimanyu and Arvind does it oh-so-effortlessly.

However, Dhruva promises to be an edge-of-the-seat entertainer and it delivers impeccably. You won't find yourself looking away from the screen through the 2hr 45mins runtime.
