The Fix

This was one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time. I laughed out loud multiple times per episode. I binged it in one night. It only loses a star because of Jimmy Carr's nails on chalkboard laugh. Luckily it's infrequent (but the first episode had me worried.)

My headline pretty much sums it up. I'm a fan of both Jimmy Carr and Katherine Ryan with D. L. Hughley being a new to me.

The concept of the show is discussion other social topics, amongst comedians in the industry with a comical conclusion at the end of the show. Episodes achieve varying results depending on which guest stars are on the show, leaving some funnier than others.

If you're wanting something easy to watch that's not to be taken too seriously - while talking about serious social topics then this is the cure for them days where you've worked an long shift at work and want to zone of of the worlds problems.. by hearing a spin on the worlds problems!

I guess its my fault that I watch a lot of British panel shows like 8 out of 10 cats or A league of their own. This has basically the same aesthetics to work but there is no chemistry. Its on the nose and pandering. Carr can do much better than this.

The Fix is great! The topics discussed are real and current issues and the ridiculous fixes are hilarious. I haven't seen any of the British shows mentioned, so I can't compare them to this one and ruin it. I don't find ruthlessness funny, so I prefer this "less edgy" Jimmy Carr. The comedians are funny and really playing into their stereotypes, which I love. I also love Mona's awkwardness. It's a perfect watch if you're not right wing and don't need mean jokes to have a chuckle.

I think the show is great. Love how political it is.
