Another doomed Sequel of Action packed Hit formula

Vidyut Jammwal step in again as Commando with bigger mission but script let down him. Director Deven Bhojani failed to engage the audience from beginning to Climax. Script has some many twist and turns so it look like Abbas Mastan's flick. Adah Sharma was totally usually with her Hyderabadi ascent. Esha Gupta was good in her role. Freddy Daruwala and Shefali Shah's character were so confusing till the end.Music was totally unimpressive."Commando- Commando" as background was totally wasted. It is better to watch previous installment Commando at home with family.

Clearly predictable and not as good as Commando 1

Others might have reviewed this movie as oh-so-cool, Hollywood-ish, lots-of- TWISTS, etc but this movie doesn't live up to the standards of Commando 1 by the same hero - Vidyut. Well, there are NO TWISTS - the entire movie is CLEARLY PREDICTABLE - start to finish - and looks naive from audience point of view.

Vidyut is a great stunt actor and can be called the "Jackie Chan of India" but the director failed to leave any impression with the story or screenplay. The Jackie- Chan/Tony-Jha style flipping-over-automobiles, sliding-under-tucks, jumping- through-tiny-windows, running and chasing through the city is average at best and you won't get impressed. What is sad is that there are way too many DEADLY stunts in this movie (in Bangkok and Malaysia) compared to Commando 1 but they fail to impress as much as Commando 1 stunts did. Hero dodging hundreds of bullets from dozens of goons is exaggerated while another police officer simply DIES from a bullet to his SHOULDER!!! Seriously?? How can anyone die from a bullet wound to a shoulder???? I'm sure any other director with the same action scenes would have left a lasting and memorable impression - higher than Commando 1. Don't miss the old Commando 1 and watch it from the START and see all the beautiful and magnificent Camera work!!

Some viewers commented this movie has lots of twists - that's too naive and obviously they haven't watched any great movies. It is called a twist when one character fools another character in the movie but not when the characters fool the AUDIENCE all through the movie to reveal the facts at the end!! That's as dumb as 1960's story-writing. If you consider these tricks as twists, you need help :)

Some hilarious comedy in the form of heroine speaking Telugu and broken English is refreshing but again things are stretched too far.

Another let down sequel.

Sigh, a heavy sigh, why oh why.

I loved the first one, minus the singing but the first one had plenty if new style action scenes, acting was pretty good and overall thought it was excellent. So hearing a sequel wad getting made, I thought great this is either going to be as good as the first or better but no it went the other way, it was worse on all sides. The acting was dreadful, the action scenes were tiresome and boring. What happened to the martial art scenes that the first one had plenty of? This film played out stunt after stunt and very little martial art scenes. It seemed as if the film makers didn't know how to film action scenes. If they do make a third one, try and stick to the way the first one was filmed. Yes the first one had stunts and action scenes but they blended well together, this just seemed to be put together haphazardly.

Only for Vidyut fan and combat style action fans

Positive: -Great actions and stunts by Vidyut -Best action sequences you can find in Bollywood

Negative: -Average acting by other stars -Story is OK

First of all if you are not fan of combat style actions and stunts then avoid the movie. Now for the fans of action and Vidyut, you cannot miss this movie. Some of the best Bollywood stunts by Vidyut. No one has ever done such a great action with good stunts in history of Bollywood. He is present in most of the scenes. The best action sequences are the first one and the last one which you cannot miss. Other actors, overall story and overall presentation is average like typical Bollywood movie (I found most of the Bollywood movies predictable and average). Good thing is movie is continuous without any stupid romantic plot.

All in all watch this movie for great action sequences and stunts.

Worst movie ever

after very long time I finally watched it and I just want to say that don't dream of watching this movie. i think producer and director used only 20% of the budget. I felt so bad after watching the movie. Movies like this shows that why most of the Indian films don't go Oscar. Please stop making such movies. U can watch the movie for stunts, twist and of course Adah Sharma!!

High class action sequences makes the movie worth a watch !

Vidyut Jamwal - The king of action is back with a bang. Commando 2 definitely lives upto the expectations. A great action film with all stunts looking very much real. Even though story is not that great, movie is having sudden twists and turns with lots of exciting action which lifts the movie up. It is indeed great to see bollywood action changing and moving close to reality stunts. Hope this trend continues.

The Desi Stunt King is Back with a Bang

Waiting for an action movie for a long time? Here's your perfect treat from Vidyut Jamwal. Yet once again he has proved that currently he's the best action figure of Bollywood industry. The story is like most action thrillers you have had seen with some contemporary touch of the burning issue of black money; though with little twists and turns (broadly speaking two major twists are there). Now coming to the acting skills, not much of that is needed I suppose in an action thriller so everyone was quite okay in their respective roles. The first person view concept is again brought in this movie ( I guess the 2nd Bollywood movie to do so). Luckily there is no romantic songs in the movie which I guess no one enjoys to see in a movie like Commando. Lastly the best part of the movie is the action, especially vidyut and thakur anoop singh were super awesome with there chiseled physique. But again the show stealer is obviously Vidyut with his super agile body and breathtaking stunts. So I would conclude by saying that all the action movie lovers your desi platter is right here.

Best of the three-movie series. Story in addition to action

One doesn't go for this series unless one is an action fan. The movie delivers on tha front. The story is surprisingly good for what is supposed to be just an action movie. I liked the villain and the surprise later in the movie (though it is not really a mystery). Story keeps moving and if you like a good chase before a fight, you won't be disappointed. Both Vidyut Jammwal and Esha Gupta are well cast and their characters are quite likeable. Addah Sharma's character is too cheesy and a real drag. Feel sorry for the actress that she had to portray such an over-the-top, suitable-for-farcical-comedy character while delivering on action sequences.

Typical case of filmy liberty

Film revolves around dealing and bringing black money back to India and its advantages. First it seems that black money is in physical form kept somewhere then it looks that it's in electronic mode, this confusion kept going till climax. Even makers did not think that both form of money would effect the screenplay. Film starting action sequence is a bit good and takes care of mind but then pre interval boat sequence is unbearable. Characters establishment was so boring and just for the sake of surprise without any logic, like S.P attacking people due to Politician simple node and as his character progress, you have to laugh eventually. A lady encounter specialist inspector is kept in team for humor and glamour, at least she is quirky good in former. In the name of action she throws fire extinguisher on goons in boat fight and waves chains to goons in plane junkyard fight. A techie geek is being threaten to dire consequences and he urinates in fear then you come to know that it was process of special cell recruitment !? Interval point is to surprise you but you actually laugh at the twist they throw on you. After few minutes in second half I just surrendered myself that I can't understand this movie. Why did main villain leave main hero alive after interval or even didn't try to harm him? I Just had to helplessly watch that how weird this could be. Characters turns white, black and grey according to makers whims and fancies. A cockroaches moves and main lead comes to know that there is a hidden room there!? Climax is idiotic and unbearable. A big relaxation is that no songs comes in movie but with end credit. Performance wise Vidhyut Jamwal is undoubtedly good in action but what about acting! Adah Sharma as lady inspector is good among all actors. Rest cast are just OK.

A movie frilled with thrills and a masterpiece which marks the dawn of Indian Action

Okay so let us chart this into 3 major plots that suite any customer.

Action Freaks:

A muscular giant with pumping biceps opens himself to a gang of some deadly informers. Line and dialogues by Vidyut Jammwal behold the gravity of not only a polished actor but also what tone would have been delivered by a true commando.

Action scenes are natural and totally new. Action and Vidyut Jammwal are probably next facts which are only to be accepted and never to be questioned.

Suspense. The Movie is full of twist and turns and the cards shuffle thoroughly round the table. Even for an instance the movie will not let you think of messages on your phone, apart from one or two 20-30 seconds plot.

Comedy, Romance and Emotions. A mixed and decent balance has been offered by Deven Bhojani and the work has been done greatly.

Hats off to team. Wis you all the best.

Indian Action Flick with Vidyut JAMMWAL

Continuation of the action hit with Vidyut Jammwal

Four years after the first film, Karan (Vidyut Jammwal), the one-man army, is back. This time he is on the hunt for black money that is withheld from poor Indian farmers. This time, lone fighter Karan has to prove himself as a team player, because he can't even handle this huge task alone. The team includes: a real computer geek (Sumit Gulati as Zafar), a shopping-crazy combat expert (Adah Sharma as Bhavna Reddy) and an obscure chief strategist (Freddy Daruwala as Bakhtawar Khan). Can they all cooperate with fighting machine Karan? Well, we'll see.

First we go to Malaysia, where the main person responsible for the black money scandal, a bank employee named Vicky Chaddha, was arrested. The responsible minister (Shefali Shah) from the Indian government can hardly believe her luck if there weren't some problems in her private household... In Malaysia, Karan and his colleagues meet the beautiful wife of the arrested Vicky. Not even the otherwise ascetic Karan can take his eyes off this absolute dream woman named Maria (Esha Gupta). And she too - despite the presence of her husband, who sits in a wheelchair - seems very impressed by the battle-hardened muscle mountain. A short time later, an unexpected event occurs that reshuffles all the cards...

You can already tell that a lot has changed, especially in the character drawing of protagonist Karan. But that creates room for bizarre secondary characters. Bhavna Reddy's shopping addiction is good for many a laugh. And Freddy Daruwala, who briefly appeared in "Force 2" (also produced by Reliance Entertainment) as Yash's (John Abraham) old friend, is convincing as an obscure colleague/antagonist. Esha Gupta as Maria is pure eye candy, but is also good for surprises.

As in the first part, the action is outstanding. Vidyut Jammwal simply delivers, all his fights are absolute blasts. The only thing that stands out is his fight with bodybuilder KP (Thakur Anoop Singh). Vidyut Jammwal should actually be much better known by now, his agility is simply phenomenal.

The South African Franz Spilhaus, who rightly received a nomination (for Best Action) at the Filmfare Awards, was once again responsible for the stunt coordination.

Well worth seeing for action fans! There is no singing either, only the Commando theme from the first film is played.
