Riepilogo
Reviewers say 'Paddington in Peru' is a heartwarming adventure, though it varies in quality compared to its predecessors. Themes of family and identity are explored with charm and humor, though some find it less original. Ben Whishaw’s performance is praised, but cast changes receive mixed reactions. The animation and Peruvian setting are highlights, though the film is criticized for being predictable. It’s a fun, family-friendly film, though it may not fully match earlier standards.

Paddington in Peru is an ok movie that could have been so much more due to its international setting but it the weakest of the three movies in my books.
Slow buildup in the first act does significant damage to the well crafted narrative of the movie. Funny antics of our titular Bear does save the grace but what takes the cake is the performance of Antonio Banderas who seems to have a ball with his character.
The third act is the saving grace as the lovable family finally catches up in the majestic mountains of Machu Picchu and the Inca civilization.
However, I feel the audience were expecting more of silly adventure in the Peruvian Jungle and the Amazon than it turned out to be.

We went into this film thinking it wouldn't be as good as the other two Paddington movies, especially since the reviews weren't as strong. However, my son and I ended up really enjoying it. The story was warm and heartfelt, with Paddington's charm still shining through. The film had plenty of funny moments, but also some touching scenes that caught me off guard. By the end, I even shed a tear. While it wasn't quite as perfect as the first two films, it was still a lovely watch. I'm really glad we gave it a chance. It's definitely worth seeing for anyone who loves Paddington and his adventures.
The first two Paddington films were great fun and full of charm, alongside some superb cameos. This film never quite gets going and you wonder what happened to the scriptwriters. Generally the performances are a bit clunky or barely fleshed out, and there are precious few laughs.
A real shame as Paddington 2 in particular was a gem, mostly driven by Hugh Grant being superb but ably supported by the prison crew. Paddington 3 is very run of the mill by comparison... it needed a much better script, fleshed out characters and funnier action scenes. An hour after watching it, you will perhaps hardly remember it at all....

The first two 'Paddingtons' were superb 'family fun' films - but the third, "Paddington In Peru", without writer / director Paul King or London as its location, is not. The titular bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) returns to his native Peru with adoptive family Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer (replacing Sally Hawkins (shame)), Julie Walters, & kids - where they're pulled into a gold-hunting jungle adventure with the likes of Olivia Colman & Antonio Banderas. Old faves like Hugh Grant & Joel Fry cameo, and first-time director Dougal Wilson does fine, but nothing lifts the tame screenplay from Mark Burton, Jon Foster, & James Lamont. It's passable... but not a REAL 'Paddington'.
Number 3 in the franchise looked amazing in the trailer
My favourite part was Hugh Grant's cameo piece don't miss it
Both Paddington 1 & 2 were brilliant so this had a lot to live up to , sadly it's not as good as the other 2 but it's not either
The theme was family & growing up and leaving the nest wherever that nest was , it was nice to see 75% of the actors reprise their role & the loss of the original mother to Emily Mortimer didn't affect the story in any way
The search for El Dorado was a great inclusion. It added tension with the goodies & the baddies with high grants character safely locked away
It was good but it wasn't brilliant let's hope part 4 is better
Pad. A 6/10.
