I think what surprised me most about this doc was that it wasn't what I had expected. I had approached the film with an already preconceived judgement about what it was going to be about and was surprised with the stories that unfolded. It was honest and I recommend it.

What we can take from this film is that it is entirely subjective. The filmmaker does not try to influence your opinion towards any of the characters, but rather allows us to observe some of their daily routines and their life in general. I found with atleast one that I connected with. It's not a dramatic doc but worth viewing if you enjoy watching something unique and simple.

It does have to be said that music can make a movie. The musical score to Tattoo Girls by far made the film more interesting.
The overall structure is a bit off putting and I get if some people won't be interested as there's really no central conflict that's being worked towards to be resolved like other documentaries. It's more of a social experiment that is documenting these women without having to interfere on their lives. That alone is why I really enjoyed the film. It's interesting. It's a different approach. It's not your typical documentary of trying to get to the bottom of things or uncovering something.
The director created a film where the view felt as if they were being shown a special side of the lives of these Polish women and the society that not all individuals see. It basically looks the same as any other society and culture.

This documentary follows seven normal women who have absolutely nothing impressive that merits a documentary. They tried to use a variety of cinematographic techniques, but it simply failed to entertain me.
