I love tekken I've known it for a long time and all but tekken 7 no way the graphics stink and need to be fixed I don't even like the characters new outfits only the stages and noctis from Ffxv and negan from the walking dead being guest stars in tekken 7 but everything else I don't like.
I've been a Tekken fan since the first game came out all those years ago, and I've loved each one of them until this rubbish. I held off playing the game for awhile after I heard everyone I know slam the game, but I eventually picked it up, and played it...
1. The story is dreadful. It is way too short, and there is barely any content to keep you coming back. You spend most of the story watching cutscenes, or listening to some guy's voiceover, but when you do actually get down to the gameplay, it's just a wave level with a boss at the end, its bad and boring. Remember the story in Tekken 6? Now that was pretty good. Not only is it not a compelling story, but it leaves so many points unsolved. The story between Kazuya and Heihachi has been around since the beginning, and they did not close that story well at all! What went on here?
2. The Arcade mode. This was my personal favourite thing about Tekken, being able to play different characters through the arcade mode, and get a little story at the end. Does that happen here? Nope. Instead you get 5 levels of fights! Five levels?! It used to be almost double that, and there is no story at the end. Making the whole thing pointless. Instead we get a "character chapter" I think its called, and these are way too short, and are a waste of time.
Despite my hate for this game, it isn't all that bad, the graphics are great, the soundtrack is pretty good also. It is also good that each character is balanced, and none feels overly powerful. I also liked the customisation side to the game, and applaud the developers for not taking advantage of this and blasting it with miscrotransactions. But the the exlusion of some characters from the in game ones, was ridiculous. Really you didn't have Lei Wulong in the original line up? But online mode is alright I suppose.
I really did not like this game at all, as a massive Tekken fan, this was such a disappointment. When the next game comes out, they better improve on these mistakes, because if they don't this franchise will die.

I fortunately had the chance to give this a try at an event not too long ago. It's not just the graphics that look wonderful in their new engine, but the game feels great too! It's smoother than ever before, flows so swiftly, and something about it is unnaturally addictive. Perhaps it's all the pretty particle effects, the crashing and satisfying sound effects of when you land a punch, or maybe all the new gameplay features like the Rage Drive and Rage Arts. Either way, I kept saying "just one more match" again and again as it was quite difficult to stop playing.
This game is an excellent addition to the series and improves on the previous titles in ways big enough to compare it to Tekken 3, which is often regarded as the best in the series. It's the freshest Tekken has been in a long time, and a step in the right direct. Smooth controls, a large roster, fancy visuals, and an extremely detailed customization feature makes this a must have for all Tekken and non-Tekken fans when it finally releases to PlayStation 4, X Box One, and PC.

Heihachi has always been one of my favourite characters but even after playing previous titles I didn't actually know that much about him. All of my lore knowledge was from playing the games alone.
I have to say, what a great job they did with the story mode of this game. The cut-scenes and fights merge seamlessly and you really feel a part of the story. Finally understanding Heihachi's motivations was heartbreaking and the final battle with Kazuya was one of the most epic I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
I also loved Akuma's cameo in the story. To be honest it worked so well I hope his presence becomes canon in the Tekken universe.
The original roster had a nice selection and was fairly large. However the DLC releases did not feel in keeping with the other Tekken characters. They were either from a different IP or just a very generic character.
The gameplay mechanics were a nice evolution on previous games.
It's definitely a move away in style from previous Tekken games but I loved it. The online experience and DLC characters are not for me though.

It's a pretty fun game. The story was good and quick, I enjoyed from the beginning to the end. The climax of the mishima family arc was utterly epic.
While this game has great variety of characters, looks, and fighting styles... the lack of offline modes compared to previous entries it's a problem.
The gameplay is fun and nice but it is very hard to master.
If you want a game with small-good storyline with good fights and graphics... buy this game!
