Amazing, only in America

Again I was not thinking much of it, didn't even know DJ was the instigator. Wonderful amazing strength from those young felons, and amazing heart and soul from all officers. That's what life is all about, courage patience strength persistence and above all don't you ever give up you dreams.

And you DJ I always liked you as an actor, now I understand why,you for real man.

Great program with tangible results, apparently

From their website, it looks like the program genuinely works, which is amazing.

"The Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation Department Boot Camp Program has resulted in a consistently low recidivism rate for its graduates - currently at 11 percent. This means that nearly 90 percent of all graduates are able to turn their lives around thanks to the training and mentoring they receive through the Boot Camp program."

As a documentary, nothing special.

Fake Show

There is no research covering 20 years that indicate that Boot Camp programs for juveniles reduce recidivism. Almost all jurisdictions have abandoned these programs because they are ineffective over the long term and the liability of the injuries inflicted by staff.

Very good documentary, a special bootcamp, interesting

Very good documentary.

There are a lot of documentaries of bootcamps.

But this bootcamp is special. This bootcamp also provides mental care and guidance together with the military drilling.

Amazing Documentary!!!

It was quite refreshing to see a positive view of young people who made bad decisions. Contrary to a previous review these kind of programs work when the instructors deal with not only the physical aspects but also the need for a psychological transformation. Teaching anyone how to just obey orders without breaking down and healing the reason they weren't in the first place is bound to fail. Most "boot camps" teach how to obey orders while there then expect the person to change when released. The original disrespect for order is never discussed. I enjoyed this image.
