The more I watch Swedish Dicks the more I am liking it. The Keanu Reeves character plays a minor role which is perfect for the show.

The real essence of Swedish Dicks is not what you see, but what you realise the third or fourth time watching it, a lot of clever sillyness that is not directly observed may be missed on the first time watching. I think the main attracting point is the casting. Everyone is perfectly casted for their role and this unsuspectingly drags you into missing the show every week. Very clever original comedy that definitely does grow on you with every episode.

Swedish Dicks is a Noir Private-eye, with the usual trimmings of dingy office, dysfunctional characters and anti-hero protagonist.

The show is never demanding, and has an easy gentle humour that will grow on you.

It's best watched after dark, say mid-week when there nothing else in the TV schedule, or late on a Friday after you return home from an evening out.

As with so many shows, this isn't bad but neither is it good, really. There are some cute lines/scenes but overall it's mediocre. The premise is cute but I'm not sure how it would sustain multiple seasons. Having said that, I've watched worse things than this... much, much worse.

Funny and easy to watch. Nice, light comedy format. I enjoyed watching it.

Sometime I just need a show to clean the pallet of my day, if that makes sense. And this show does it for me. It's just a fun, quirky cop show. Keanu Reeves pops up randomly in sort of a parody of John Wick, or any tough guy role, etc. The characters are adorable weirdos and it's nice to watch after a long day. This is definitely a hidden gem. I hope they keep making more!

Ingmar (Peter Stormare) is a Swedish Dick. He's an L. A. private detective from Sweden who is obsessed with the death of his former partner Tex (Keanu Reeves). His aggressive lawyer daughter Sarah (Felisha Cooper) is super hot. Sun (Vivian Bang) is the North Korean janitor in his building. Axel (Johan Glans) is a struggling Swedish DJ who gets involved with Ingmar and becomes his private dick partner. Jane McKinney (Traci Lords) is a rival private dick. In the second season, Eve (Stephanie Koenig) becomes Axel's girlfriend.

This is a fun little Swedish-American comedy show. I don't know they got Keanu Reeves to do a support role in between his John Wick movies. Stormare is great as always. The comedic standout has to be Vivian Bang and her deadpan delivery. I don't think that I've seen her in anything else. She has a great delivery here. This is good quirkiness.

Forced lines, stereotypes. I get that is the point, but I Think You Should Leave does it so much better in any way. So, no, thank you.

I didn't really expect much when we randomly started watching this series. I'm Swedish so I'm probably a bit biased. The humour is typical Swedish comedy, with a serious and a silly character and very embarrassing and absurd scenes that makes you squirm and laugh, if that is your humor.

I was surprised to see Keanu Reeves, not sure how they got him to sign up, I'd love to see an interview about it. He's not a great actor but a great human being and I usually like his movies.

It's hard to rate this, but as far as comedy series goes I feel this is a solid one. Of course that depends entirely on your sense of humor.

Glans does the same thing he always does. Plays on his awkward personality. Stormare is good. Nice to see him in a role where he isn't playing a Russian character for once. Their English isn't embarrassingly bad so that's also a plus.

I can't say how well it translates for non-swedish speakers, but the Swedish parts are also good writing. Not the stumbling lines of many Swedish movies.

I can see why people don't like this but I think it's not poor writing or acting. It's just a matter of if the comedy is to your taste or not.

As comedies goes, it's good!

Seriously, I thought an offbeat comedy series would be fun, but it is so puerile and low-brow that it only served to annoy.

Understated, simple, enjoyable, not twisted, refreshing, easy going, compelling, delightful. Give it a chance.

I really, really, really love this show. Keanu is of course a bonus here and you can take that as a good sign that this is worth your time. I was a little undecided on Axel at first but found myself really warming to him. Stormare just does Stormare and it's perfect. Vivian Bang is hot and hilarious.

I highly recommend you give this show a chance. Season 2 is an improvement on season 1 and I sincerely hope they get to continue to make this show despite the fact it has largely flown under the popular TV radar, like many shows such as Last Man On Earth, Vice Principals and I'm Dying Up Here.

One of the most random but funniest TV show I've seen!!!!!!! Wish there is season 3!

Fun, original as you first think its really bad actors but realise its good actors playing bad actors, clever and has Keanu as guest.

I watched one episode of this bilge because Peter Stormare was in it and that was a big mistake. I can only assume that the good reviews here were bought and paid for because this was not funny at all. In fact, it wasn't anything at all. Formulaic and cheap come to mind and that's the best I can give this mess. In actual fact I'm changing my score to 4 out of 975 million.

It took me a little while to 'get' the tone they were going for. But once I figured out the tone was 'SILLY', I was able to laughtered. Silly Swedes = Good Swedes.

I know this is good, not sure if it's fantastic, and I'm not going to even try to over think it, because I'm not sure your supposed to. Had sort of glimmers of the genius of 'My name is Earl'!! All I can say is that I've just binge watched series one, and thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

I like the actor (Stormare), not so much the stand up comedian (Glans).

I love the fact that the 10 clickers as always just complains and states that everyone who doesn't love this is stupid, ignorant etc. etc. I guess most of you work with the show or in some capacity which would allow your company a possibility to squeeze out a little bit more money from this garbage.

But I seriously wonder who this show was intended for? 6 year olds with mixed Swedish and US language experience and mixed referential frameworks?

This show is just unnecessary and the fact that it was produced proves that the world is so dumb that I want to move to a different planet.

I have to say I wanted to like this, but really it is just pitiful to watch.

And FYI, "unlicensed" private detectives/investigators can NOT carry firearms in Los Angeles which has been defacto "may issue" (no issue) for decades. If you are very rich and a contributor to political campaigns there, yes, you can get a carry permit, or if you are a celebrity. But not some guys who hang a private investigators sign outside the door.

This is really painful and sad to watch....grown men making fools of themselves with the worst acting ever seen on screen. It appears to use Swedish humor but delivering it in English, and the humor falls flat, then burrows into the ground! Do not waste your time on this at all!

The contributors of IMDB have got this wrong. This is quality comedy. The joke about the Swedish animals was priceless.Watch it well chilled. You'll love it.
