A charming and simple love story that is very easy. The visualizations could have been really better in some places, but the series is also a bit older.
The storyline was original and refreshing. It didn't get complicated afterwards, you could enjoy it to the fullest. However, I thought it was a shame when it was over, although everything was rounded off. Every gap was simply filled.
And deep down I wanted another end, but actually I found the end good anyway.

Splash splash love is so adorable and surreal while still having emotional substance to go with it, even if it ends up feeling repetitive and grating at times. It gets into some incredibly weird territory towards the end which was so visually inventive and exciting to see. It's a super fun watch, even if it doesn't leave much of a lasting impact.
I just happend to find it. I'm so glad that I did. Koreans did everything right with this one. I literally have no complains. Even my favourite kdramas have something I dislike. Of course it's not perfect, thus the 8 stars. But it's an all around 8 for me, wich is extremely rare. I'm actually feeling joy while writing this review, just because I've watched something this good!
One thing I have to point out is that this is a comedy with some romance. Not the usual Joseon "rom-com" kdrama, where many of the characters end up dead. It's extremely funny at some points. At least for my taste. Also don't watch expecting realism. This is purely fantasy and it's good at it. I think this has to go in my "Favourites" list.

This can be watched on Viki as a 10 episode miniseries, or a shorter version as a movie. This review is for the second option.
What happens when a slightly spoiled girl who does not excel at math (and does not want to put out too much effort), is faced with a CSAT test that will determine the rest of her life? She avoids the test of course. By standing in the rain and getting wetter and wetter, wishing to disappear, then jumping into a big puddle of water, and poof, she's gone. Except that she emerges again, this time in fifteenth century Joseon, at the court of the young King Sejong the Great. Mistaken for an erudite boy due to her clothing, she is brought to the attention of the king, who is trying to solve several problems, such as the Pythagorean theorem and a three-year drought, in that order. The young scholar now has to do a whole lot of math, much of it at the tip of a sword, before the young king figures out her gender and... Well, you get the gist. It's a beautifully filmed movie, with lots of wit and sparkle between the protagonists, and never a dull moment, at least in the short version. Highly recommended.

A mini series with a good story and an interesting theme. Back when the k drama land wasn't filled so fully with the go back to the joseon dynasty theme, this drama had kind of an interesting and original story. And they did make it work, using lots of humour and a nice romantic story. The chemistry between the two main actors was nice and helped a lot with the love story, though it was odd to begin with. The plot had a good pace as well and managed to complete the story officiently enough in just about two hours. So, 6 out of 10.
