A well written mystery

This reminds me of novels I have enjoyed that are all about piecing together clues held by many different people to create a picture of a person and/or events. This series does it well. The protagonist, FL, is a young woman who by the end of the story struck me as obsessed with ferreting out every last detail about a certain period of time in Village Achiara. With a clear conscience she incessantly pries into the private lives of people she just met and barely knows. You could say that she plays the sympathy card in her thirst for information. It's a good story but it's relentlessly grim. 7 stars.
