Enjoyable and fun series in 18 episodes, a police procedural comedy with action, thrills , shootouts, mystery and suspense. The series was renewed for a second season, but no for a third one . Being very well set in the touristic and cold town of Ezcaray, La Rioja, where there is a Ski Station . Ezcaray is a small peaceful town but with a lot of crimes that a duo of peculiar Civil Guards must resolve and both of whom make up a professional group.
This successful and intriguing show results to be a Spanish police/comedy series produced by 100 Balas for Spanish Television. It deals with two Civil Guards from Civil Guard's Public Order and Prevention Service, they are : the Azcaray natal Sebastián Olmos, nicely interpreted by Pepe Viyuela and the modern and urban Agustin Robles : Ruben Cortada, both of them belong very different backgrounds and along the way have to work together solving strange crimes . They turn out to be polar opposites, but together they make up a great team . These episodes concern twisted crimes and complex intrigues , as the serial murder of a group of mercenaries , kilings related to Seven Infants of Lara, appearance weird corpse at cemetery, an international corruption plot related to an important weapons trade enterprise, a massive kidnapping led by Fernando Cayo, assassination attempt and replacement an OTAN or NATO chief for an impostor, both of whom played by Ramón Barea, investigation the death of Robles' parents, among others.
This is a funny and entertaining series by creators Carlos Theron, Jorge Lara, Carlos Salmon, based on an idea by Flipy and Parbús. It focuses on two Civil Guard members, the first well starred by Pepe Viyuela who gives a sympathetic acting as the botcher First Corporal who works in the station of his birthplace , and the tough as well as intelligent Robles finely performed by Ruben Cortada as a lieutenant of the Rapid Reaction Group, one of the most notorious units of the Civil Guard. They see themselves forced to work together if they want to solve the national and international relevant cases, which as luck would have it, has united them in Azcaray, a marvellous little town in la Rioja . Along with a prestigious support cast formed by known faces, such as : the recently deceased and Francisco Rabal's wife, Asuncion Balaguer, as Olmos' grandmother who attempts his grandson Sebastián Olmos marries to Pilar Castro , Enrique Villén as veteran Guardia Civil whose daughter, the beautiful Andrea Duro, has left her Medicine studies and hides it to her father, Alex O'Dogherty as Damian the egoistic Mayor, Ana Morgade as Cata, the hotel owner, Sara Sálamo as a Medical Examiner, Elisa Moulaa as the gorgeous judge of Instruction. And other actors participating and guest stars are the following ones : Luis Miguel Sequi, Santi Marin, Ricardo Lacamara, Antonio Tato, Fernando Cayo , Kimberly Tell, Ramón Barea as a high-ranked NATO politician, among others . Shooting of the series started in July 2015, indoors scenarios were filmed at a studio in Madrid , outdoor scenes were shot in other locations in La Rioja as Haro, San Millán de La Cogolla, Nájera , Zaldierna and Logroño. And it premeried on September 8, 2015 on TVE's main channel "La 1" , getting success enough.
