I appreciated that the movie took its time to develop the characters, providing a deeper understanding of them prior to delving into the more intense aspects of the story, rather than starting with the immediate crisis of Tommy's disappearance. The film effectively conveys significant themes surrounding accountability, the positive application of technology, familial relationships, perseverance in adversity, and creative problem-solving. The film's opening was somewhat sluggish, which provided an opportunity for character development, especially for Isabel, the main character who experienced feelings of neglect from her family. However, following the kidnapping incident, the narrative gained significant momentum and evolved into a gripping thriller. I found the casting to be satisfactory, and while the acting was also decent, it did not reach a high standard; however, I wouldn't classify it as poor. Certain scenes exhibited exaggerated performances from some actors in the film. I appreciated how the film utilized sound to amplify tension and suspense within the storyline. The sound effects effectively crafted an immersive atmosphere, enhancing the pervasive sense of dread that enveloped the film. However, I did notice that some auditory elements seemed clichéd and overly familiar, which somewhat diminished the film's originality.
-I appreciated how the film focused on the characters searching for Tommy, and I found it intriguing that we were given glimpses of Tommy and his captor about an hour into the story. However, I felt that the film could have provided a bit more depth. I think that it could have been even more effective to include scenes depicting Tommy's experiences, without revealing the identity of his abductor too early in the narrative. I enjoyed the film's cinematography, which employed a variety of shot types to enhance its narrative. The gentle lighting established a nuanced atmosphere that I found appealing; however, while all the essential elements in each frame were distinctly visible, some parts could have benefited from additional brightness. Personally, I often adjust my screen's brightness for a better viewing experience, which proved particularly helpful during this film. The energetic camera movements during critical moments further amplify the tension inherent in some sequences.
-I appreciated the ending; it provided a fulfilling conclusion that effectively resolved the film's narrative, leaving me with a profound sense of closure.
