This is probably the first movie with a misguiding IMDB rating that I have watched in its entirety, which is something I truly regret doing. The Rating plus some of the witty user reviews in here that talks of clever twists in the end, is what actually got me to waste 2 hours of my life. The story itself has nothing new to it and the so called twists in the end are pretty much predictable halfway through the movie. Add to it the rusty 90-esque special effects and you have a B Sci-Fi movie without any sort of oddness or uniqueness to it. It can't even be put into "So bad it's good" category. My honest suggestion here is watch it only if you are able to tolerate a Low budget generic Sci Fi movie and are willing to spare 2 hours to go through it.
First of all, what in the hell happened to Billy Zane? He used to be a great actor and be on great movies. But let's talk about this two hour life sucking flick and its 7,2/10 rating (by the time I watched it). Poor story, poor dialog, poor cinematography and well, pretty much poor everything. Almost everything that happens in this movie has no objective and/or makes no sense, but eversince it had a high review I forced my self to watch until the very end and maybe be amazed about some turning point that maybe had my mind blown away. Well, the only thing that blew my mind was how stupid my decision was.
IMDB please audit those ratings.

IMDb used to be a serious site and an international reference for movie fans. Unfortunately since the last modification, IMDb has become a manipulative site with fake ratings (probably with the use of robots) and reviews (many of them with one or two lines only).
The boring "Blue World Order" is one of the worst movies of the adventure genre. The screenplay is a complete mess and the pace is absolutely inadequate for the genre. The poor direction associated to terrible performances make this flick an unbearable entertainment. However the IMDb User Rating (7.1) lures many viewers (including me). My vote is three.

It is suspicious an evaluacion so high to a movie that we are able to grade it as a 4 film right from the trailer. Come on!!!. I am a fan of indie, trash, B movies. But I also know it´s not Apocalipse Now.
I admire your fan base that was capable to achieve that amount of votes. Congratulations! Here in Brazil we did the same with an biography of a "pastor" that lured his flock to vote. Thousands elevated the ratings of that movie.

Looks like it is a fact that IMDB has been hacked and the ratings are not adequate anymore. This is not the first overrated "movie" on this site. Me and my friends could have shot better film than this lame one. Don't waste your time to watch it.

As a kid of the 80s I applaud this film. While it's low budget, the characters and story hold interest and there are some electric moments - especially with Mad Cap who is a loveable quirky character. The post apocalyptic story makes a strong statement about dominant government regimens, and though the science is at times complex, it's got a lot more substance than many of the high budget sci fi films in the cinema. I really enjoyed the experience, the humour and the pace. Worth a watch, then a rewatch!

This film was billed as madmax meets starwars - and while clearly not the same budget as either, it makes up for that by being a throw back to some good old fashion adventure. The story is more complex that your average sci-fi and there are twists and turns along the way. I actually watched it twice and got a lot more of it the second time round. I saw some of the bad reviews on here and I can only think that these people have some personal issues with the film-makers in their home town and want to troll them. it might not be for everybody, but I loved it!

You can tell this movie is trash right off the bat. Not even worth reviewing then the fake rating just makes one not want to give it a chance at all.
This rating is so false that i have no words... This is literally unwatchable and deserves a 0 star score!

Man, what a mess this movie is! And who's the worst actress in the world? Yes, you're right: Bolude Watson (Marion). I would give a great ZERO if this was possible. OK, 1/10.

A giant poo pile from a big poo factory and wtf was Jack Thompson thinking???
Short review:- Avoid. The kindest things I can say about this film are that it is overly long, and they managed to persuade Billy Zane a B lister to turn up for several scenes. Leaving the baffling editing, comical fight scenes, camp costumes and low budget sets and scenery; it is the utterly incomprehensible plot that is the outstanding feature of this movie. I would like to say the acting is terrible, but given that the cast manage not to collapse in tears of laughter (or shame) at the script and storyline - I would like to salute the actors. Just don't watch this please. If Trump made a movie - it would be better than this.

This film would have rated a 10 if their budget was better for the SFX. Great story and decent acting make for an extremely entertaining viewing experience.
From an eclectic movie goer, this film is well worth a watch!

Okay, I loved this. Looooved it! I have a soft spot for indie films, and this is clearly an indie - but it was entertaining first time, and then I watched it again yesterday and picked up so much more in the story I missed.
I wish they had the budget to do what they really wanted to, but still it was a great story that makes me want to know more about the world. Watch it more than once. I think I'm with the zane!

This movie doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither should you. Yes, the plot is filled with cliches galore. Yes, the guards in this movie have Stormtrooper syndrome. Yes, that's a Back to the Futuresque DeLorean DMC-12 you see in the trailer and on various posters for the film. It's all intentional.
The key word here is Fun. If you're after a gritty, realistic post-apocalyptic sci-fi film, this isn't the movie you're looking for. Blue World Order is clearly a homage to the types of light-hearted action/adventure/sci-fi movies you could rent on VHS back in the '80s, and binge watch with friends on a Sunday afternoon.
It's an offbeat, at times quite humorous, sci-fi action adventure flick, with a story that improves as it goes along - and yes, there is a bit of a twist at the end which affects how you perceive the bad guy. If you find yourself groaning a bit at the start, that's fine... persist and the movie does improve.
For what it is, and given its low budget, I think Blue World Order does the job reasonably well. And for my money, Stephen Hunter makes the film much more enjoyable. His confused and confusingly eccentric character provides some genuine laughs to offset the generic action and TV episode special effects.
As for the ratings here on IMDB, well I'd say we have a case of action and reaction. Clearly, some overly zealous individuals have artificially voted this movie a 9 or 10 when it really isn't anything of that caliber. Then you have people who feel cheated voting a 1 or 2, when again BWO isn't that bad. Pick a time when you're in a good mood and want some light-hearted fun, then watch the movie. Full disclosure: I'm a long-time Canberra resident, but I had no involvement with the movie or the filmmakers.

I watched this because I'm a fan of Robbo from Home and Away. It was like Robbo in the future.
I get that this is a low budget Australian movie, but I enjoyed it more than most Hollywood blockbusters that seem to come off a production line. The characters are really great, especially the scientist. I liked how the good guys and the bad guys both thought they were doing the best thing, and we argued afterwards about who's side we'd be on!

I think a lot of the reviewers were expecting way too much from this movie, it is low budget sci-fi at it's best, it ticks all the box.
A human story
Beautiful cinematography
A wonderfully campy and convoluted plot
Also shot around the city of my birth
