I love these type of stories on tv that expose the activities of the paranormal. And this show is included. I know in the beginning it wasn't its best and obviously the people probably thought the cast and producers were a bit off, but you can tell they've gotten better and more comfortable with what they're doing. And it shows. I do wish they included a little more information or follow ups on smaller stories or any story really.
The first season of this show had elements that made it seem like an amateurish production. Most of it was due to using ordinary people to do the re-enactments and some low budget ghost effects. Both, I would assume, were due to budget constraints. With season two, however, things have gotten better. They have been able to hire professional actors for the re-enactments, and the special effects have improved somewhat. I am surprised by the level of acting ability of the season two episodes. Of course, you know it's just acting (not the actual event), but it's just such an improvement over the stilted and unnatural performance of their season one cast. Some of those actors in season two are very good; I assume they are all Canadian, since the production company is in Canada. There is a large pool of fine under-used actors in Canada to choose from. Apparently, the production company of this show have taken advantage of that. I'm happy that a Canadian show seems to have been able to catch on with viewers. I live in Toronto. By the way, this show now has a narrator who sounds just like Anthony D. Call, the narrator that very long running American production called A Haunting.
So far not one single "survivor" has teeth. They are either gone or rotten so badly. I'm sorry but that alone makes a viewer think all their encounters were due to drug use. Bad just really unbelievable.
I guess I was taken in by the whole "reality" of this show. When everyone on the show has a Canadian accent I started to realize it was all acting. I live in one of the areas portrayed on the show and we don't have accents like the people they have pretending to be haunted by these so called ghosts. If they would just call the show for entertainment purposes only I would enjoy the show so much more. But don't try to pretend this show is for real. This is just insulting to my intelligence. Come on people at least make sure your actors don't all have Canadian accents and pretend to be from New York or Ohio. That's just ridiculous. Your show loses all credibility. Get better actors. I'll still watch it only to laugh at how obviously clown it is.
It would seem that the eyewitnesses are geniune and the Canadian low budget nature of the reinactments are reminiscent of the old ghost shows such as "A Haunting" so it was quite nostalgiac. Also every single reinactment dinner scene uses nothing but some cheap looking spaghetti marinara.

- QuizA lot of the stories leave the viewer hanging. As in they have no resolution. They do not explain what happened in the end. Sometimes they say they moved. Sometimes they say they a paranormal investigator ran away in fright, and give no denouement whatsoever as to whether the person got rid of the entity or is still living with it.
