I've never written a review before but I noticed that this had no reviews as yet and felt that it deserved someone to share how wonderful it was. I'm not going to talk about filming and directing as I know nothing about all that. I will tell you about what I saw and more importantly what I felt.
First, let me say I've been a big fan of Korean dramas for the past few years. I have never thought much of Ji Sung prior to this. I thought that his acting skills were okay/moderate in his previous dramas. Either he had never previously been given the opportunity to really flex his skills or he has matured with experience over the years. I was blown away by his performance in Kill Me Heal Me. It would be an ambitious project for any actor to portray 7 distinctly different personalities. He not only does so but accomplishes it with such depth that you actually forget that they are "personalities." You begin to see them as separate people and grow attached to each character. You feel their pain and joy and root for every single one of them. This bond with the characters, without giving away any plot points is a crucial factor in the emotional roller coaster journey throughout the drama to its conclusion. Ji Sung's skills were so incredible that it got to the point where you are able to identify the personality switch just by minute changes in his facial expression even without dialog, hair and clothing changes. I cannot say enough about the amazing performance he put forward in this project. Whether you are a fan of the story or not, you can't help but admire what he accomplished with this. If he doesn't win the Daesang for this, there is something seriously wrong with the judging system. The rest of the cast, Hwang Jung-Eum, Park Seo-Joon and the other supporting actors all give strong performances and there are no weak links. By that I mean, you don't feel let down or bored as the plot line switches to secondary plot threads.
You will laugh and cry hard in this drama. For those of you not accustomed to the Korean style of humor in many dramas, it can sometimes get slapstick and over the top which is not everyone's cup of tea. However the humor in this drama will appeal universally. There are moments that will make you laugh so much you will cry and then there are others that will break your heart and make you cry for real.
If you are looking for something that is a scientifically accurate portrayal of multiple personality disorder and you are going to nitpick every little inconsistency, then skip this. However if you are looking for a drama that you can lose yourself in, and one that will make you FEEL. Then watch this, you won't be disappointed.

If you are reading this review, you probably might be interested in watching this TV show.I hope this review will change the "might be" part to "must be" 😂 Okay then!! kill me heal me, is one of those rare shows that is packed with almost all kind of emotions you look for in a good show. Suspense, mystery, romance, comedy and what not?! You will laugh, cry, smile, scream, go like "wtf" through out your journey with this show. This drama never loses its plot. It has an amazing story line. Plus the acting by all the actors is so on point. Ji Sung couldn't have played the role of a person suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder any better. He maintains an amazing balance between all his personalities. And trust me, you are going to admire all of them. While falling completely for his aggressive personality "Shin Se Gi". He even transforms into a 17 year old girl, "Yo Na". She is a total fun to watch. The actress of this drama, Oh ri jin, is again a very charming character. She is a psychiatrist by profession and secretly treats Cha do Hyun, who wants to hide his disorder from the world. Oh ri on is another beautiful character to watch out for. He plays the role of Oh ri jin's twin brother in the series, and there is no way that you won't end up feeling his plight by the end of this show. The story takes amazing twists and turns you wouldn't be expecting of. And ends up on a very good note Writer Jin Soo Wan has so beautifully written this delicate script. The complexities of this story will surely leave you thinking hard. But as the story will unfurl itself, you will find yourself completely in love with it. Do watch this show.. It surely is a breath of fresh air..
Amazing acting especially from the lead with the multiple personalities. Very emotional, with lead dealing with both a mental disorder and a seriously dysfunctional and non-supportive family. As an Australian watching this with English subtitles, some nuances are lost on me (such as Korean accent differences of the various "alter" personalities) however this drama still has an enormous impact, and I'm grateful Netflix made it available. I also thought the production standards were high - the music is memorable, even the architecture such as the house interior (set) of the lead character. Worth watching whatever country you are from, and I note this deservedly won various Korean TV awards.
Like millions, I love beautiful, brilliant Ji Sung and this series he is so wonderful in. For me, he is the greatest of Korean actors, which is saying a lot because I think they're the best in the world today, and have at least a dozen favorites. (I also love his wife, Lee Bo Young: "Mother" is extraordinary.) And I love Park Seo Joon as well, so "Kill Me, Heal Me" is a real treat. It is my 3rd time watching it. Decided to after "Doctor John" and a very rough week I'm healing from. . . . pun intended. It was the right decision: Already a classic in every sense and one of the greatest of all KDramas-Settle in for the ride.
It took me 4 years to finally watch this drama, after hearing how great it was over and over again.
Boy am I glad I finally decided to see it.
I have to say for a fact, this is the best kdrama I have ever seen.
The plot and pacing was perfect, I didn't get bored at any point and was completely intrigued by the show from beginning till the end.
I religiously watched every episode without skipping any parts (believe me for every drama I start skipping parts from the 7th episode, so this is huge for me)
The acting....oh the acting was absolutely on point!
Ji sung was phenomenal in every character, the subtle changes, the movements, the way of speaking everything was perfect.
Park Seo Joon nailed his character as well, my heart was broken for him
Hwang Jung Eum really delivered well on the emotions.
The side characters were really good too, not one acting hole in place.
I liked that the writer ended the drama cleanly, it was all about Cha do Hyun and his personalities. No grand showdown at Seungjin group or with his father.
Now that I've finished the drama, I feel a weird sense of loss because I'm not sure I would have come across a Kdrama this good ever again. It really kept me company for several days and was always looking forward to running home to watch a new episode. Oh well... what I'm trying to say is that You should totally see the movie
