The global outrage over the war in Gaza and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe has reached the Venice Film Festival.

As the 82nd edition kicked off on Wednesday, a broad group of Italian and international cultural and activist groups announced their intention to use the platform of the festival to protest Israel for its military conduct in the Gaza Strip. Terry Reid, the artists’ artist who was revered by the likes of Aretha Franklin and Mick Jagger, and nearly became the lead singer of Led Zeppelin, has died, The Guardian reports. He was 75.

A rep for the British musician confirmed his death. An exact cause of death was not given, though Reid had been battling cancer and other health issues. A recent GoFundMe said Reid had been “in and out of the hospital, enduring rounds of treatment and uncertainty,” forcing him to cancel a six-week tour scheduled for the fall.

Terry Reid, the influential British singer-guitarist who famously turned down singing gigs for Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, has died at age 75.

Reid had recently been forced to cancel tour dates “due to medical issues arising from recent treatment for cancer,” per an official statement at the time.

Texas musicians Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett have announced a lengthy summer tour together, dubbed the ‘Crooner & the Cowboy Tour’.

This summer finds the returns of Ginny & Georgia, Squid Game, The Sandman, Wednesday, and My Life with the Walter Boys as well as the premieres of new titles like Too Much, Untamed, Leanne, and The Waterfront. The streamer will also surely make additional announcements with more release dates for the summer months.

Netflix is the leading streaming platform, there really is no doubt about that! The streamer has so much good original content, and there's so many shows that we're excited to see back on our screens. And though 2025 has gotten off to a great start so far, there's still so many highly-anticipated Netflix shows whose new seasons we're eagerly waiting for.

Of course one could argue that Stranger Things season 5, aka the final season, is the biggest one that has all the anticipation around it. It's been confirmed that we'll return to Hawkins one last time in 2025, but there's still no confirmed release date, or a release month even.

Was anyone expecting The Wheel of Time to end the episode on a CW-level love triangle cliffhanger? Yeah, I didn’t either, which is why I gasped at that delicious scene.
