Warning: This film contains scenes of grave desecration.
Viewer discretion is advised, as certain scenes may be deeply disturbing. Be warned-this film includes graphic depictions of grave desecration that are not only intense but also profoundly unsettling. From the moment you see graves or a cemetery, it's best to look away. For the sake of your mental well-being, it's best to avoid these sceens entirely. Specifically, the scenes around the 45-minute mark are particularly disturbing and should not be watched by anyone who values their pece of mind. These moments are distressing and may evoke strong negative emotions. If you are sensitive to such imagery or uncomfortable with confronting dark themes related to death and loss, do yourself a favor: skip this film altogether. It dives into harrowing subjects that can haunt you long after viewing.

I can't believe there's only 3 other reviews of this film and one poor guy was terrified that they themselves were alive and made of smaller particles. LOL The animations help this film show actual particle physics and biological protein synthesis and nerve impulse transmission and so many other processes that make up our bodies and universe, in a simple explained way without very many highly technical words. Everyone should be aware of how the universe works and how life came about at least on our planet. This is a wonderful film for everyone. I'm not sure what a spoiler would be here. That life is complex yet came from simple building blocks?
Everything makes perfectly sense now, and yet nothing matters anymore...
I have studied psychology since 16 and graduated in a masters in 2019. Since leaving education I continued my love of psychology however I was left with many questions that seemed to bridge into areas of sociology on one side and physics on the other. Some topics are very difficult to describe in simple effective language. I read Roger Penrose- New Mind and started to piece together some further thinking.
I finally stumbled across this film PHOTON and was astounded. The visual effects, the sound design were of the highest contemporary quality complete masterful visual descriptions of reality, physics and psychology.
The realisation that your atoms are in this process of duplication, movement and connection that transcends upwards in awe inspiring patterns and systems leaves you breathless. And the end sequence suggesting a possible scenario where the waves, connections continue into new patterns is the greatest art cinema I have ever seen.
There is one review on IMDB that mentioned the graphic nature of this film on the final act. I think this person needs to take a step back and realise how this graphic imagery is important for the viewer to comprehend the state of society as it stands today and try to take in what the overall message is this film should never be censored as it is too valuable.
I hope one day this film is seen by everyone. Perhaps the first 2 acts should be shown in schools all over the globe. The genius of Norman Leto should be applauded by critics across the disciplines of audio visual and every school of science.
This film is a solid 10. I am so lucky to be alive.
