‘Fur,’ The Story of History’s First Bigfoot Abductee and Reluctant Romancer to Star Frank Mosley (Exclusive)
Image
Actor-filmmaker Frank Mosley, star of Sundance Jury Prize winners “Upstream Color” and “The Procedure,” is set to play the lead in “Fur,” taking on the part of Albert Ostman, history’s first Bigfoot abductee – and reluctant romancer.

Directed by Austin-based Brad Abrahams, best known for cult doc-feature “Love and Saucers,” a Special Jury Prize at the 2017 Fantastic Fest, “Fur” will be presented at this week’s Frontières Market, which runs July 23-26 at Canada’s Fantasia Film Fest.

“Fur” tells the “loosely true” tale of Albert Ostman, a melancholic logger who heads into the Canadian wilderness in 1924 to pan for gold and change his fortunes, Abrahams told Variety in the run-up to Frontières.

Ostman’s escape into solitude is cut short when he’s violently abducted by a Sasquatch and taken to a cave it shares with its mate and their daughter. “As the days pass, Albert is pulled into a world of isolation,...

Here's a Trailer For a Crazy-Ass Alien Abduction Documentary Called Love & Saucers
If you’re looking for something really crazy and weird to watch, there’s a documentary currently streaming on Hulu and Amazon called Love & Saucers.

The documentary centers on a man who claims to have had a lifetime of alien abductions and even says he lost his virginity to a woman alien. This is someone that I could totally see Dr. Venkman interviewing on his show World of the Psychic.

To get the full effect of the strangeness of this whole thing, you have to watch the trailer. Here’s the synopsis that was released for the film.

The story of David Huggins, a 72 year-old man who claims to have had a lifetime of encounters with otherworldly beings - including an interspecies romance with an extra-terrestrial woman - and chronicled it all in surreal impressionist paintings.

"David Huggins lost his virginity to an alien woman - among 100 other E.T.

Iffam: Mattie Do, Annick Mahnert Continue Journey With ‘Long Walk’
Laos director Mattie Do and Swiss producer Annick Mahnert are working together on “The Long Walk,” a project that was at the first edition of the Iffam Project market in 2016 and is showing as a work in progress at the Macao Industry Hub.

The pair previously teamed up on “Dearest Sister.” The film was the movie was the first to be submitted by Laos for the Oscars foreign language category.

“After my first two films, I didn’t want to do another movie about Lao women trapped in their Vientiane houses, so I started out with this idea about an old man walking up and down the same stretch of dirt road outside his village and his only company was the ghost of a girl that died on the road when he was a boy,” Do told Variety. “At the time, my husband and I were starting to notice that our whippet,...

Get swept away into the extra terrestrial in Love & Saucers, playing this year at Fantastic Fest
See the strange story of David Huggins, a 73 year-old New Jersey man who claims to have had a lifetime of encounters with otherworldly beings (including an interspecies romance with an extraterrestrial woman with whom he lost his virginity). He has chronicled his experience in surreal impressionist paintings, few of which have ever been seen. Filmed in an intimate, nonjudgemental style, Love & Saucers lets David tell his story, and in turn lets the audience decide what is fact, fiction, and everything in-between. Love & Saucers will premiere in Austin, TX at Fantastic Fest during September 21-28th, 2017. Director Brad Abrahams and Producer Matt Ralston will be in attendance....
