Liam (Scott Clifton) just got out of surgery. However, he hasn’t woken up yet, so we have no idea how he’s doing. Grace (Cassandra Creech) and her assistant doctor assured Bill (Don Diamont) that Liam is doing just fine. They removed the mass from his brain. He made it through intensive brain surgery, which is a good sign. That means he might get a second chance at life.

Lisa Yamada shared the moment she learned she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. She immediately alerted her Bold and the Beautiful co-star Christian Weissmann, who was also up for an award in the same category.

Young Talent

Yamada and Weissmann were nominated for Outstanding Emerging Talent. They play the villains Luna and Remy on B&b, both of whom have been keeping us on our toes. The actors are in good company. They are joined by fellow nominees AnnaLynne McCord (Days of our Lives), Ashley Puzemis (Days of our Lives), and Olivia d’Abot (The Bay). Yamada was the first to get the news about their nominations. Yamada shared a screenshot of their interaction on her Instagram Stories. In a series of texts, she wrote, “Dude. We both got nominated. Oh My God. ” Weissmann was in disbelief.

It’s been a little while since John McCook’s character, Eric Forrester, has had a major storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful. The last big one was him defying the odds and overcoming a major health crisis, which had him at death’s door. But Eric’s still got a long life ahead of him, and his portrayer even gave a peek into the upcoming Italian adventure. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has revealed its nominees for this year’s ceremony, which will be held on October 17 in Pasadena, Calif.

Fan-favorite shows that appear in this year’s nominees include soaps like General Hospital, The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives, as well as talk shows like The Drew Barrymore Show, The View, and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

This year, several new categories are making their debut, including Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series and Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre.

A quick review of the 2025 Daytime Emmy nominations might give you the false impression that only three soap operas aired within the 2024 calendar year of eligibility: CBS' The Young and the Restless (19 noms), ABC's General Hospital (16 noms), and Peacock's Days of Our Lives (13 noms).

However, CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful (four noms), Popstar's The Bay (one nom), and Prime Video's Neighbours (one nom) were also eligible this year, though they were almost completely snubbed by voters.

On the flip side, several contenders received surprising wake-up calls Thursday morning, including most notably Clint Howard. The longtime character actor, whose brother is actor-director Ron Howard, has now been recognized for his highly publicized guest arc as an unhoused man on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) on Thursday announced the full list of nominees for “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which are set to take place on Friday, October 17 during a ceremony that will be streamed live from Pasadena, CA. However, a specific venue had not been disclosed at press time.

This year, the Daytime Emmy Awards will take place as a single ceremony, executive produced by Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS, and Lisa Armstrong, with Rachel Schwartz serving as Head of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The firm of Lutz & Carr, Llp, provides accounting services for this year’s competition.

Among the television networks and streamers, Netflix leads with 32 nominations, followed by ABC and CBS in a tie for second place, each with 25 nominations. Peacock received 14 nominations to rank fourth, while CBS Media Ventures was honored with 12 nominations to close out the top five.
