Alice has said "Growing up with a forensic psych mother was like living inside a 90s procedural-- (born Irene Lago) it seems likely I was named after Sherlock Holmes' Irene Adler! As a child, I would sit outside her door with a coloring book as she was discussing these incredibly gruesome cases: I credit this as my first contact with horror. She later on changed career paths and became a child psychologist for Autistic children and teens. Her advocacy for Autistic families is something I am endlessly proud of".
