Since 2021, Netflix's most-watched movie of all time had been Red Notice, sitting steady at 230.9 million views. However, the star-studded action-comedy featuring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot has now been unseated by Netflix's new smash hit.

To celebrate the fans of the hit film KPop Demon Hunters, Netflix announced today it will host “KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event,” a series of screenings across the U.S. and Canada on August 23 and 24.

As part of the event, Huntr/X and Saja Boys fans can join together to sing their hearts out and seal the Honmoon with a one-weekend-only, limited theatrical screening event and view a sing-along version of the Netflix hit film with a theater full of singing fans.

Since its release on Netflix on June 20, KPop Demon Hunters has skyrocketed to become the most popular Netflix animated film of all time, and is the first original animated film to enter the Most Popular Movies List (English). KPop Demon Hunters (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film) has also dominated the charts this summer, boasting over 3 billion global streams to date, with breakout hit “Golden” hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Maya Rudolph’s “Loot” finally has a Season 3 premiere date — along with a new teaser promising more billionaire shenanigans as well as resolution for the Season 2 finale’s romantic cliffhanger.

Apple TV+ revealed Tuesday that the comedy series will return Oct. 15 with the first two episodes, followed by new installments Wednesdays through Dec. 10. A teaser for the new season featured Rudolph’s Molly Wells gently caressing a giant crystal, before the camera moved to her coworker/love interest Arthur (Nat Faxon) in her kitchen, a promising sign of their relationship status after the Season 2 finale left it on a cliffhanger.

Exclusive: Deadline has the set times for the first-ever Belly Laughs Comedy and Food Festival, taking place downtown at L.A. Live this weekend.

Presented by partners Cape, Nederlander Concerts, L.A. Live, Gold House, and Mama’s Nightmarket, the Belly Laughs festival is billed as a celebration of Asian-American culture that honors how they mix, influence, and inspire one another to create something entirely new: a unique Third Culture. From July 12-13, attendees will be able to see 30 comedians and eat at 20+ food and beverage vendors curated by Mama’s Nightmarket.

Artists performing include Nimesh Patel, Jonnie Park (aka Dumbfoundead), Zarna Garg, Kumail Nanjiani, Joel Kim Booster, Margaret Cho, Bobby Lee, and Hasan Minhaj, to name just a few.

Joel Kim Booster is set to write Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols, taking the fan-favorite franchise into a different direction, according to Variety.

Pitch Perfect producers Elizabeth Banks, who starred in the movies, and husband Max Handelman are set to produce the Universal Television project through their production company Brownstone Productions.

Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s Brownstone Productions have entered into a new first-look deal with Universal Television, where the company will develop and produce TV series for broadcast, streaming and cable.

Under the partnership, Brownstone is developing “Pitch Perfect: K-Pop Idols” for Peacock, a comedy series written by Joel Kim Booster (“Fire Island”) that follows a struggling singer-songwriter whose life completely turns upside down when she finds herself auditioning to be a part of the first all-American K-pop group.

Booster, Banks and Handelman serve as executive producers alongside Gold Circle Films’ Paul Brooks and Scott Niemeyer and director Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect”).

In addition, Brownstone is developing “Crush” for Peacock, a series co-produced by UCP and Universal Television inspired by the 1995 episode of “The Jenny Jones Show” titled “Revealing Same-Sex Secret Crushes.”

Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s Brownstone Productions has inked a first-look deal with Universal Television (Utv), Variety has learned exclusively.

The company was previously set up under an overall deal at Warner Bros. Television. Under the deal, Brownstone will develop and produce TV series with Utv across all platforms. Furthermore, Brownstone has promoted Anna Hughes to vice president and Kristen Spence to creative executive. They will report to Krissy Wall, who is Brownstone’s head of television. Alison Small serves as head of film.

“Brownstone Productions first emerged from the primordial swamps of Universal Pictures, so it’s only natural that our next evolutionary leap happens with Universal Television. We’re thrilled to continue growing with such a stellar team and deeply grateful to Donna, Pearlena and Erin for their support. A new Netflix movie starring one of the leads of Squid Game is doing well on Rotten Tomatoes. The South Korean survival thriller Squid Game is one of the streaming service's biggest original series of all time, with season 1's 256.2 million views making it the most-watched season on the platform and season 2's 192.6 million making it the third most-watched. The series, which was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, follows a group of adults competing in deadly children's games for a big cash prize.

Because most of the core characters were killed over the course of season 1, there are very few members of the Squid Game cast who have appeared in both seasons. These core stars include Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), Wi Ha-joon as Detective Hwang Jun-ho, and Lee Byung-hun as Hwang In-ho (The Front Man).
