Time to give props. The Property Masters Guild has revealed the nominees for its second annual MacGuffin Awards. Have a look at the list below.

The awards, which will be presented September 13 at the Paramount Theater in Hollywood, celebrate the creative excellence and impact of property masters across film, TV, commercials and more.

The group’s film and TV categories span contemporary, period and fantasy/sci fi, and its snall-screen also are split among half-hour and hourlong shows and multicam/single cam. The guild’s shortform race comprises commercials, music videos, short films and web series.

The Property Masters Guild announced the nominees for their 2nd annual MacGuffin Awards, which honors the creative excellence and impact of Property Masters in film, TV, commercials and more.

The Property Masters Guild debuted their inaugural ceremony in 2024, with awards being presented to “Oppenheimer”, “Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning – Part 1” (David Cheesman), “Poor Things” (Balázs M. Kovács) and others.

This year’s winners will be revealed during a live ceremony on Saturday, Sept.

The inaugural Prop Masters Guild MacGuffin Awards celebrated the achievements of the artisans who make Hollywood sets come to life or feel lived in.

Prop work on both film and television projects were honored, including “The Bear,” “Oppenheimer” and “Poor Things.”

Emily Ferry was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her over four decades of dedication to her craft. Her work has spanned over 50 productions, including “The Right Stuff,” “Alien: Resurrection,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Memoirs of a Geisha.”

The Property Masters Guild handed out its inaugural MacGuffin Awards tonight in Los Angeles, celebrating significant artistic achievements of property masters in film and TV. Winners lauded at the Belasco Theater included Best Picture Oscar winner Oppenheimer and nominee Poor Things, along with Emmy winners The Bear and The Last of Us. See the full list below.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One took the Contemporary Feature Film prize, with Oppenheimer and Poor Things winning for Period and Fantasy/Science Fiction, respectively. Other TV honored by Pmg include Lessons in Chemistry, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, That ‘90s Show and the now-wrapped Perry Mason and A Black Lady Sketch Show.

Pmg’s Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Emily Ferry. A legend in the craft, she was the first female property master in film and television — a pioneer in breaking institutional barriers and paving the way for future generations.

Jamie Lee Curtis will be awarded with an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts by the American Film Institute at the AFI Conservatory’s commencement ceremony Aug. 10 at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Curtis, who won an Oscar in 2023 for her role in “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” has appeared in plenty of films over her career, including 1978’s “Halloween,” 2018’s “Halloween,” “Freaky Friday,” “My Girl,” “Knives Out” and many more. Her television credits also include “The Bear,” “Scream Queens,” “Anything But Love” and more.

Past recipients include Michelle Yeoh, Robert Altman, Maya Angelou, Saul Bass, Angela Bassett, Kathryn Bigelow, Mel Brooks, Carol Burnett, Clint Eastwood, Rita Moreno, Spike Lee, Jodie Foster and more.
