A Film Pundit Claims James Gunn’s Superman Is a Mess
Image
While we’re still a few weeks away from the release of James Gunn’s Superman, in movie theatres on July 11, 2025, the conversation around the DC reboot is already splitting fans down the middle, with some cautiously optimistic and others totally against everything they’ve seen in the trailers, and that’s before we’ve even seen the full extent of what David Corenswet’s Man of Steel has to offer. But while most of the early buzz coming from industry insiders, exhibitors, and theatre managers, who have seen the film, has been incredibly positive, not everyone’s buying what Gunn is selling. Well, according to John Campea, who has been hyping the film for months, at least two people aren’t. After weeks of praising everything he’d heard about the film, especially from people who had reportedly seen the first 30 minutes, Campea said it was only fair to...

Matt Reeves Exits The Batman 2: Industry Insider Says It’s Not End of the World for Robert Pattinson’s Franchise Even if the Rumors Are True
Image
If you thought that the production delay and shift in release date for Robert Pattinson’s The Batman 2 was bad, then buckle up for worse news. After facing multiple delays since its 2022 announcement, it seems that people’s greatest fear about the sequel has manifested itself—Matt Reeves has reportedly withdrawn from the director’s chair.

Matt Reeves’ position as director first came into question in mid-April, after an insider mentioned that The Batman 2 is facing delays since the filmmaker had been dealing with personal issues. Thereafter, even Jeff Sneider speculated that Warner Bros. might be forcing Reeves out of the project. And now it seems both rumors may have been true.

However, John Campea noted that despite Reeves’ absence from Robert Pattinson’s sequel, it’s not the end of the world. Let’s see why.

Matt Reeves has reportedly quit his directorial duties on The Batman 2...

We Now Know Where Marvel Studios' ‘Blade’ Reboot Fits in the MCU Timeline
Image
Marvel's Blade reboot was pulled from its release schedule in 2024. Before this, the film's production cited directors exiting the project, major delays, and massive shifts towards Marvel's other upcoming releases. While this Mahershala Ali-led superhero movie's details were shrouded in mystery, a former production staff member revealed where this movie would have taken place in the MCU timeline.

Blade's former costume designer, Ruth E. Carter, revealed in an interview that Marvel's Blade would have occurred in the 1920s and would have told a period piece about a vampire. Unfortunately, production was shut down due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers strike, and she, along with other production staff, was stuck in limbo. Fortunately, her research was not wasted, as Ryan Coogler's 2025 feature, Sinners, has a similar setting.

In 2019, Kevin Feige revealed that Blade was in development and would have the two-time Oscar-winning actor to star in the feature.

‘Thunderbolts*’ Test Screening Reactions Are Reportedly Off the Charts -Marvel’s Antihero Team-Up Wows Early Audiences
Image
After a challenging phase for the MCU, Deadpool & Wolverine was a massive success earning over $1 billion. While the success of Captain America: Brave New World was limited mostly to positive audience reactions, early buzz indicates that Thunderbolts* could be a breakout hit as the MCU builds toward its major Avengers installments.

The excitement surrounding Thunderbolts* is palpable. While it may not break box office records, expectations are high for a strong performance and positive reception from both critics and fans, especially now that the early rumors are saying that the movie had an extremely positive test screening.

The most recent claim regarding the movie’s success came from John Campea on his live stream as the audience reactions were allegedly off the Charts.

6 Things We Know About Superman’s Test Screenings: James Gunn Has Some Surprise Villains for DC Fans
Image
Everyone’s excitement for James Gunn’s Superman starring David Corenswet will get even more intense after an insider revealed some interesting details about the upcoming film. The result of the initial test screening proved that it needed more polishing, but in the most recent viewing, the movie reportedly did better than the last time.

This already sounds optimistic since Superman is expected to be the biggest project yet from the revamped DC Universe. The official teaser trailer generally yielded positive reactions, especially after it moved away from the dark and brooding version of the previous iteration.

Upcoming Superman film reportedly promises surprise villains

A popular Portuguese fan site DC da Depressão shared on X, formerly Twitter, some tidbits of what fans can expect in the upcoming Superman film (via Dcu Hype). First off, Nicholas Hoult reportedly delivered a great performance as Lex Luthor.

Superman Test-Screening Rumors Point To Surprise Villains And A Tone Similar To Wonder Woman
Image
Initial word from the first internal screenings of Superman was not especially positive, but reports from more recent test-screenings of James Gunn's Dcu reboot definitely sounded more optimistic.

Now, we have a few more details to share. This comes via reliable (or at least semi-reliable) sources, but should still be taken as rumor for the time being.

Popular Portuguese fan-site DC da Depressão is reporting the following.

Nicholas Hoult is great as Lex Luthor (not the first time we've heard this); The VFX/CGI look a lot better than it did in the first trailer; There are some surprise villains; Rachel Brosnahan is "funny and adorable" as Lois Lane; There is quite a bit of humor, as well as more emotional moments; The tone is said to be "closer to the first Wonder Woman film and the first Guardians of the Galaxy."

We're not sure how this will be received,...

Image
James Gunn's Superman is one of the most anticipated movies of 2025, with David Corenswet being the latest actor to portray the Man of Steel on the big screen. Most DC fans (aside from the Zack Snyder diehards) are desperate for Superman to be a hit and revitalize the DC Universe on the big screen after years of divisive movies. The first test screenings of James Gunn's latest film have already happened, with the director confirming that some minor reshoots will be taking place before its theatrical release on July 11, 2026. Two reports have been released supposedly quoting the test screening viewers, and the reactions couldn't be more juxtaposed.

MCU Rumor Roundup: Spider-man '98, Henry Cavill's Marvel Future, Spider-man 4's Setting, Blade, And More
Image
Marvel Studios has shifted focus from quantity to quality during Phase 5, though that means the end of the Multiverse Saga is very nearly upon us...with a lot of stories seemingly left unfinished (for now, at least).

Every dangling plot thread not being neatly wrapped up by the end of this Saga isn't the end of the world; however, a new rumour shared by scooper Daniel Richtman claims Marvel Studios plans to release only two movies between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

One of those we already know is Spider-Man 4 and the other could be Blade or another mystery project. Clearly, those rumoured plans from a while back about a whole wave of "Battleworld" projects have been scaled back as, according to Richtman, Marvel Studios is eager to end the Multiverse Saga as soon as possible.

The scooper has also shared intel about Marvel Animation working on an...

He initially gained fame for his successful roles as Superman in the Dceu and as Geralt in The Witcher, but at one point, his career hit a rough patch. He lost both roles, missed out on becoming James Bond (for which he was a top contender), and his other projects didn’t achieve much success.

However, he got a boost after his cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, where he played an alternate version of Wolverine. Fans loved this appearance, even though it was just a brief cameo with no future plans.

Since then, fans have been eagerly calling for Cavill to join the MCU, and according to a new rumor, this possibility might actually be on the table—if the rumor turns out to be true. Keep reading for more details!

Rumor Claims Henry Cavill Met with Marvel in August to Discuss a Proper Role in the MCU
Image
Henry Cavill is a very famous name in the field of fantasy works. He was initially a brand name, having successful outings as Superman in the Dceu and as Geralt in The Witcher.

But at one point, his career went down the drain. He lost both of these roles, seemingly missed out on the role of James Bond (for which he was a favorite), and all his subsequent projects were not even near success.

He got a break after his cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, in which he played a version of Wolverine from an alternative universe. While the fans loved the appearance, it was a mere cameo with no future implications.

Fans loved it. Since then, everyone has been calling for Cavill to join the MCU again. According to a new rumor, this possibility seems more likely if the rumor is true. Keep reading for more details!

Trouble Brews for MCU’s ‘Blade’ Production as Mahershala Ali Dives into New Project: “Key Players Are Not Happy”
Image
Marvel has several upcoming projects slated for release in the coming years. Many of these projects have faced delays or cancellations due to the historic SAG-AFTRA strike that affected the entire industry. One highly anticipated Marvel Studios project, ‘Blade,’ encountered issues even before the strikes began.

‘Blade’ is an MCU movie centered around Eric Brooks, a prominent vampire hunter in comics. It serves as a reboot of the beloved ‘Blade’ trilogy, which played a significant role in shaping the MCU as we know it today.

Summarizing all the challenges faced by ‘Blade’ is quite a task. Mahershala Ali, the movie’s lead, pitched the idea to the studio a while back and was officially announced as Blade in 2018. Since then, the project has grappled with constant script issues, leading to several changes in writers throughout its development.

The latest rumors, shared by John Campea in his podcast, suggest another writer...

MCU’s ‘Blade’ Production in Trouble as Mahershala Ali Gets Busy With New Project: “Key Players Are Not Happy”
Image
Marvel has plenty of projects bound to be released in the next few years, and we know that most of these projects have been stuck in a sort of limbo due to the historic SAG-AFTRA strike that paralyzed the whole industry as a whole, causing plenty of projects to be both delayed or altogether canceled.

One extremely anticipated Marvel Studios project that had problems way before the strikes began is ‘Blade.’ It is an McU-based movie following Eric Brooks, the most notable vampire hunter in comics, and a reboot of the already highly popular ‘Blade’ trilogy that contributed to paving the way for the MCU that we know today.

It would be hard to summarize all the problems that ‘Blade’ had so far, the main star of the movie Mahershala Ali approached the studio with the pitch a long time ago and was officially announced as Blade in 2018. Since then,...

Is Blade Dead At Marvel Studios? Here's The Latest On Status Of MCU Reboot
Image
The news broke last night that Mahershala Ali is in talks to star in Universal Pictures' upcoming Jurassic World reboot, seemingly leaving the status of Marvel Studios' long-planned Blade reboot up in the air.

Though we haven't had any official updates on the project, Jurassic World 4 is said to be gearing up for a mid-June shoot, which is also around the time Blade is (or was) expected to begin filming. So, it seems highly unlikely that Ali would be lining up this Jw role if he was still planning to play the Daywalker unless the MCU project has been hit with yet another delay - or has been cancelled altogether?

Blade has been plagued by production woes ever since it was first announced over four years ago, going through a number of directors and writers. The project finally seemed to be back on track after a recent Production Weekly...

MCU’s ‘X-Men’ Reboot Reportedly Gets a Promising Update
Image
In March 2019, Marvel Studios regained the film rights to X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Deadpool after Disney’s acquisition of Fox for $71.3 billion.

These characters are planned to be integrated into the MCU. In October 2020, the ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ films were rebranded as “Marvel Legacy films” on Disney+. Notably, Patrick Stewart already reprised his role as an alternate Professor X in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ and Kelsey Grammer returned as Beast in ‘The Marvels’. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ a sequel to ‘Deadpool 2,’ will bring Deadpool and Wolverine, portrayed by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, respectively, into the MCU continuity.

We know that the ‘X-Men’ reboot project has been in talks for quite some time now, but it took the success of ‘X-Men ’97’ to really kick-start things. Seeing how popular the mutants are with the current Disney audience, I believe that work has gotten more serious in the last few months,...

Sonic the Hedgehog 3: Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow
Image
We’ve known that Shadow the Hedgehog would be appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for some time but didn’t know who would be voicing the character… until now. First reported by John Campea and confirmed by THR, Shadow the Hedgehog will be voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves.

The audience at CinemaCon got a glimpse of Shadow during Paramount’s panel, during which a first-look trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was screened. The character first appeared in Sonic Adventure 2 as a dark version of Sonic who does whatever it takes to achieve his goals. The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has included some unexpected voice actors, such as Idris Elba as Knuckles, so it should be fun to see what Keanu Reeves does with Shadow.

Rumors: Doctor Doom Set To Appear in ‘Fantastic Four’ in a Small Role Setting up Future Installments
Image
Yesterday, exciting news surfaced about the upcoming film “Fantastic Four.” The official release date for this highly anticipated Marvel movie is July 25, 2025. Fans have been buzzing with speculation for months, and now we have confirmation on the main cast.

Pedro Pascal will take on the role of Reed Richards (also known as Mister Fantastic), a character accidentally confirmed by SAG-AFTRA last week. Vanessa Kirby will portray Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, which aligns with previous rumors. Completing the first family, we have Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing and Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch.

Filming is set to commence this summer. Interestingly, due to a release date switch, another Marvel film, “Thunderbolts,” lost its spot in July 2025 and will now hit theaters earlier than expected on May 2, 2025.

While the core cast is now confirmed, there’s been no word yet on the potential appearance of Doctor Doom, a villain...

Rumors: Doctor Doom To Be Included in ‘Fantastic Four’ but Not as the Main Villain
Image
Yesterday the news broke regarding the release date of ‘Fantastic Four’ and the officially confirmed cast. ‘Fantastic Four’ will be released on July 25, 2025, and the main cast is what was pretty much rumored for the last 5 or so months. Pedro Pascal will assume the role of Reed Richards, this is something that was accidentally confirmed last week by SAG-AFTRA. Vanessa Kirby will be playing the role of Sue Storm, something that was likewise practically known. The other two members of the first family are Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing and Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch.

Filming is expected to begin this summer, and due to the release date being switched, ‘Thunderbolts’ lost its July 2025 spot being moved to release earlier than expected on May 2, 2025. Despite the main cast being confirmed, there was not a speck of news regarding the potential appearance of Doctor Doom, the villain most often tied to Marvel’s first family.

Rumors Suggest Mads Mikkelsen in Talks for Doom Role, MCU Not Dropping Kang as the Main Villain
Image
Despite the lackluster MCU releases this year, fans have much to anticipate, particularly the forthcoming ‘Fantastic Four,’ unveiling its cast gradually. With the confirmation of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, confidence grows in his capable hands, foreseeing a potential for excellence.

As the fandom adjusts to this news, John Campea disclosed in his recent podcast that Mads Mikkelsen is in talks with Marvel Studios for the role of Dr. Doom—one of the most formidable villains faced by the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, and arguably the most iconic villain in Marvel Comics history.

However, fans find themselves perplexed as Doom’s presence would imply a spotlight as the main antagonist. Numerous stories could potentially evolve into an entire saga solely focused on him. Despite the MCU having its primary villain, the reception wasn’t favorable. Kang the Conqueror’s debut in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ marked the first...

Mads Mikkelsen Allegedly in Talks To Play Doom, MCU Still Not Giving up on Kang

Despite the disappointing MCU releases this year, fans have plenty to look forward to, especially the upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ whose cast is slowly coming to light. Now that we know that Pedro Pascal is going to be Reed Richards, we’re confident that the role is in good hands and there’s a potential to turn it into something really good.

And while the fandom is still adjusting to the news, John Campea revealed in his most recent podcast that Mads Mikkelsen is in talks with Marvel Studios to play Dr. Doom, one of the most notable villains that the Fantastic Four and the Avengers have ever faced and probably the most iconic villain in the Marvel Comics ever gave rise to.

But, fans were left confused because the presence of Doom would mean that he should get the spotlight as the main villain. There are just so many stories...

It’s time for a solo superhero movie like no other, and Marvel Studios is setting out to deliver just that with their new MCU Phase 4 entry Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, which is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12) directed, with Kim’s Convenience star Simu Liu cast as Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist who is trying to live a normal life in San Francisco despite being trained at a young age to be an assassin by his father Wenwu (Tony Leung). The movie examines Shang-Chi’s origins but in the present day we see him get drawn further into the clandestine Ten Rings organization, and he is ultimately forced to confront the past he thought he left behind.

Along with Chloé Zhao’s Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is one of Marvel’s 2021 blockbuster gambles.

Loki First Reactions Arrive, Sounds Like Marvel and Disney+ Have Another Smash Hit
Image
The first reactions to Marvel's next foray into serial storytelling, the Disney+ series Loki, are in and so far, it's looking like another smash hit for the unstoppable comic book movie studio. Created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service, Loki once again features Tom Hiddleston as an alternate version of the titular God of Mischief who is tasked with fixing the timeline.

We begin with Brandon Katz, Observer, who praised the series for being Marvel's first purely entertaining show after the heavy-hitting WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, calling Loki a "a cheeky action comedy" as opposed to the mystery box undertakings of the former or the more contemporary themes of the latter.

WandaVision was meant to be a mystery box of sorts, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier made statements on race and legacy. I think #Loki is designed to be the most purely entertaining Marvel series thus far,...

Eternals 2 Rumored to Be in Development
Image
Marvel Studios are reportedly very confident in Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao's cosmic vision for Eternals, with a sequel already rumored to be in development. Film pundit John Campea has revealed that, despite the first movie not due to hit screens for another six months, Eternals 2 is already on the Marvel board, and is as guaranteed as an eventual Avengers 5.

"It's basically the same reason Avengers 5 and Eternals 2 weren't announced. They were only announcing those films up to 2023 that have verified release dates. There are over 20+ projects on the board.... We all know there's going to be an Avengers 5 and there's going to be an Eternals 2."

Now, while this is of course to be expected considering Marvel's penchant for forward planning, Eternals will open the Marvel Cinematic Universe to previously unknown forces, much like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 did, and you would expect that such a shift would...

Henry Cavill Rumored To Return For J.J. Abrams’ Superman Movie
HBO Max is quickly becoming the de facto home of all things Dceu. There’s the Snyder Cut of Justice League, the more than likely release of the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, and even the J.J. Abrams-helmed Justice League Dark live-action series. But that’s not the only project Abrams is attached to. His contract with Warner Brothers might include an as yet unannounced Superman movie, which could be either a sequel or a reboot at this point.

With all the buzz surrounding the re-release of Justice League, it seems that the original rulebook was thrown out and future plans are being rewritten. Originally the entire cinematic roster seemed to be getting a hard reboot, with the Abrams movie, Matt Reeves’ The Batman, and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. But now there seems to be this course-correction of sorts, with talk of Henry Cavill reprising his role...

Joss Whedon Reportedly Talking With Marvel About Fantastic Four Reboot
Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, and Hugh Jackman in X-Men (2000)
Now that Disney owns Fox along with all of their properties, the big question for Marvel fans is, when can we see some new superheroes in the McU? And by superheroes, we mean the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke briefly about his desire to give us the Ff movie we deserve last year and it appears they’ll tackle that franchise before getting into the X-Men. In fact, rumors have been swirling for months about the cast, with both John Krasinski and Emily Blunt rumored as the frontrunners to play Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, respectively. And as for directors, while Ant-Man’s Peyton Reed has been considered, it looks like it might be another McU veteran who takes the job.

According to YouTuber John Campea, Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios have been talking for the past two months about Fantastic Four. Campea...

The early consensus after the world premiere Tuesday night of Disney’s “The Lion King” remake is that it’s visually staggering, has plenty of heart, and tugs nostalgically on the heartstrings of anyone who saw the 1994 original as a kid.

So hakuna matata, Disney.

“If you’re hoping this will be a near-exact adaptation of the animated movie with some absolutely jaw-dropping visual effects, you’ll get what you’re looking for,” IGN’s Terri Schwartz tweeted.

Here’s What The McU’s Phase 4 Line-Up May Look Like
Following Avengers: Endgame, there’s a whole lot of speculation about what’s next for the McU in Phase Four. As everything built up to the conclusion of the Infinity Saga and the last film of Phase Three, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel has been keeping quiet about what’s coming over the following few years. Obviously, we know they’re working on new projects like The Eternals and sequels like Captain Marvel 2, but there’s been no official release of the upcoming slate as of yet.

That hasn’t stopped industry insider John Campea from giving us his best shot at working out what Disney’s release schedule looks like though for Marvel movies up until 2022. All of the following dates have been confirmed to apply to the McU, but the specific films that’ll drop on those dates are currently unknown. Based on how far the various projects are along the pre-production scale,...

Avengers 5 Rumored To Release In July 2022
Much to the surprise of no one, Avengers: Endgame is crushing the global box office right now, with the film closing in quickly on Avatar as it just hit $2.5 billion. Money aside though, fans are absolutely loving it and it’s also received the critics’ stamp of approval, proving that Marvel Studios is Kryptonite to bad reviews. All in all, it’s the perfect sendoff to an era of superhero films that hit all the right notes.

Of course, Avengers: Endgame also provided finality for many of its heroes and you shouldn’t expect to see the original team that was first assembled in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers together again. In fact, even Robert Downey Jr. said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that “the [Avengers’] future’s very uncertain.”

Of course, this doesn’t mean Marvel won’t be pushing ahead with a new incarnation of the team, as we reported...

Rian Johnson's Star Wars Trilogy Canceled Rumors Roar Up Yet Again
Rian Johnson
Rian Johnson's new Star Wars trilogy has reportedly been cancelled. The news comes after Disney revealed their release schedule for the franchise over the course of the next handful of years. The 2022, 2024, and 2026 release dates are all allegedly going to be the trilogy from Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, according to sources close to the matter. Obviously, this is not the first time that this rumor has come up, but there seems to be a larger element of evidence to suggest it's actually true this time.

First of all, it has not been confirmed by anyone at Disney nor Lucasfilm that Rian Johnson's Star Wars trilogy isn't happening any more. However, with the new release dates all reportedly centered around David Benioff and D.B. Weiss' trilogy, it looks, at the very least, like Johnson's story won't be coming out for close to a decade.

It’s Looking Like Rian Johnson’s Star Wars Trilogy Has Been Cancelled
This December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will wrap up the Skywalker Saga, bringing to a close the story based around Luke and Anakin and their legacy that kicked off all the way back in 1977. But that doesn’t mean the franchise as a whole is coming to a close as well, as Disney already has numerous movies in production that’ll take the saga in brand new directions.

Earlier this week, the studio announced three release dates for a trio of new Star Wars films, with the first one arriving on December 16th, 2022, the second on December 20th, 2024 and the third on December 18th, 2026. As for what these Star Wars movies will be though, well, that’s where things get interesting.

Disney didn’t specify which films would be arriving on the aforementioned dates and now, John Campea, who usually has reliable intel – though not always – is...

The first reactions to Avengers: Endgame are here! I've typed out the words "Avengers" and "Endgame" (before that it was simply Avengers 4) more times than I care to count over these last several months. To say that the hype is real for this movie would be a dramatic understatement. The world premiere of the movie was recently held in Hollywood and now the question must be asked, did Marvel pull it off?

We're going to keep this spoiler free for those fans who want to go in clean. Almost all around, the answer to that question seems to be a resounding yes. Virtually everyone who attended the premiere and has an active Twitter account not only had something nice to say, but hyped it up even more. As if that were somehow possible at this point. Here's what Erik Davis of Fandango had to say.

"#AvengersEndgame is a masterful epic,...

Next Avengers: Endgame Trailer Expected To Drop At The Oscars
It’s been a popular theory for a while now that the next proper trailer for Avengers: Endgame might premiere during the 91st Academy Awards ceremony on February 24th, and with the big night just around the corner, YouTuber John Campea has gone out on a limb to predict that this will indeed be the day it happens.

Though many would argue that Marvel Studios is likely to hold off until the week that Captain Marvel comes out on March 8th, if not later, Campea makes the point that since ABC is owned by Disney, it’ll be in the conglomerate’s best interest to entice more people to watch the ceremony’s broadcast, and the promise of a new Endgame trailer would certainly be one way to do it. If Campea’s reasoning holds up, then you can expect Marvel to release a tease in the days beforehand advising fans to watch the show.

Captain Marvel Trailer To Fly Online Monday Night
Once November had come and gone with no sign of the highly anticipated Avengers 4 trailer, a new report surfaced earlier this weekend alleging that these next few days will see Marvel Studios making up for a relatively dry period with a one-two punch of new footage, with the first teaser for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel said to be arriving on Monday, followed by another Captain Marvel trailer on Wednesday. But if the words of frequent tipster John Campea are anything to go by, it seems that those previous claims may have got the two dates the wrong way round.

The blogger took to Twitter today with the message that the “New Captain Marvel trailer is airing tomorrow night at halftime of the Monday Night Football game,” which was previously rumored to be the slot in which the Avengers 4 trailer was playing. When one commenter brought up this contradictory intel,...

Avengers 4 Trailer Will Now Drop On Wednesday Morning
At long last, we can finally put all the speculation, rumors and false reports to rest, as we now have the date for when Marvel will reveal the very first trailer for Avengers 4, and presumably break the internet in the process.

Slowly but surely, the window has been narrowed down and just yesterday, we were told that this week would be it, though it seems that plans have somewhat changed. You see, the Infinity War sequel was set to debut its first footage tomorrow night during Monday Night Football, with Captain Marvel getting a Good Morning America trailer premiere on Wednesday.

Now, for some reason that’s currently unknown, the studio’s swapped the two releases. Which means that Brie Larson’s heroine will actually be taking the spotlight tomorrow night while Avengers 4 looks to send fans into a frenzy a few days later, on Wednesday. No word yet on...

Fans Embrace Jimmy Gunnbergo as James Gunn Undercover Idea Goes Viral
Recently, the Marvel community on the Internet has picked up a new joke, taking a new comedic spin on the firing of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn. The joke suggests that Marvel has found the perfect replacement for James Gunn named Jimmy Gunnbergo, who is simply just JJames Gunn with a mustache.

Following the firing of James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, many people on the Internet have spoken out against his termination, including both fans and celebrities alike. Despite the best efforts of the Internet, it looks as though Disney and Marvel will be moving on without Gunn. Though a number of people are still fighting to keep Gunn on board, including Dave Bautista who is threatening to leave the project entirely, many others have come to terms with the fact that a different director will be brought onboard for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,...

Jake Gyllenhaal
It Looks Like Jake Gyllenhaal Won’t Be the Next ‘Batman’
Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal has shot down a rumor that he might be the next “Batman.” Watch the video above.

Gyllenhall, who just became the first celebrity ambassador and the face of the Cartier luxury goods company, was asked point blank by China News Asia if he is going to be the next Batman.

“Wow, that’s a very difficult question,” said Gyllenhaal about sporting Batman’s cape and cowl. “The answer to that question is ‘no’.” In other words, take him off your Batman actors March madness bracket.

Also Read: No, 'The Batman' Will Not Deal With the Death of Jason Todd - aka Robin

Last November, movie pundit John Campea started the rumor that Jake Gyllenhaal was Matt Reeves’ top pick to take over the role of the Dark Knight from Ben Affleck in “The Batman.”

The film has been the subject of endless speculation — Reeves recently had to clarify that his “Batman” will be part of the DC Extended Universe that includes Superman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League.

The filmmaker has previously said he set aside an original script written by Ben Affleck and DC entertainment president Geoff Johns, and is “starting again” on a completely new take. “No. It’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool,” Reeves told MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast last year.

Affleck and Johns wrote their script while the “Argo” Oscar-winner was still set to direct as well as star in “The Batman.”

The concept envisioned by Affleck and Johns featured Deathstroke the Terminator as the main villain, and Joe Manganiello was hired to play the supervillain. Given the changes around the project, Manganiello has said he isn’t sure if he’s still in “The Batman.”

Dceu Said To Be In A Holding Pattern Until The Batman Moves Forward
Four days ago, the DC community was placed on red alert after online movie pundit John Campea claimed to have caught wind of some “really bad news” concerning the DC Extended Universe.

Before we get into the weeds, we should stress that Campea’s track record has been pretty solid when it comes to Warner’s superhero franchise, as he was the first to break news that Jake Gyllenhaal had met with Matt Reeves about potentially headlining The Batman – presumably at the expense of Ben Affleck (Justice League), whose career as Gotham’s Caped Crusader appears to be nearing an end.

However, Campea’s gloomy forecast is yet to transpire, leading fellow industry sleuth Mario-Francisco Robles to publish a new, comprehensive report that attempts to find out exactly what’s going on with the standalone Batman movie. And to cut a long story short, it appears Matt Reeves is still...

The Batman Director Confirms He's Not Ready to Exit Just Yet
Andy Serkis and Amiah Miller in The War - Il pianeta delle scimmie (2017)
Despite recent rumors, War for the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves is not leaving The Batman. The live-action DC universe is in flux, there's no question about that following the disappointment of Justice League. There are few certainties when it comes to what DC projects will move forward and what form those projects will take, but The Batman, at least for now, is still happening and Reeves is still on board to write and direct.

This all got started when John Campea said on his YouTube channel that he had completely accurate information about Warner Bros. and the DC universe that would make people "lose their banana minds, and not in a good way." Without further clarification, the internet was left to speculate wildly. Given Matt Reeves' recent deal with Netflix, and considering how much it would upset people, many assumed he was leaving The Batman. However, responding...

The Dceu Is About To Receive Some Really Bad News
The DC Extended Universe has faced a rocky road so far, with pretty much four out of the five movies released under the Dceu banner having been met with a sizeable amount of criticism and fan backlash. With Wonder Woman proving that the franchise can produce a hit, though, and early word on Aquaman sounding positive, fans are hoping that its fortunes might be about to turn around. And while James Wan’s upcoming tentpole may indeed be as good as people say it is, we’re now hearing that some really bad news is on the way for the franchise.

John Campea made that claim in a recent video posted to his YouTube channel. Previously, Campea had the scoop on both Ben Affleck’s wavering interest in playing Batman and Jake Gyllenhaal being the top contender to replace him, so there is a good chance he’s right about this as well.

If Ben Affleck Drops Out of The Batman, The Director Reportedly Wants Jake Gyllenhaal to Replace Him
Yesterday it was reported that if Ben Affleck ends up walking away from playing The Dark Knight in The Batman, director Matt Reeves already has someone in mind to replace him. Thanks to a recent episode of The John Campea Show, we now know who that actor might be.

Apparently, Reeves wants to cast Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of Batman. Gyllenhaal is one hell of a talented actor so I can see why Reeves might want to cast him. I do have to say, though, it's hard to imagine Gyllenhaal in the role. I know he'd nail it, and I think he'd kick ass as Batman! I'd just have to see it! I'm sure once I saw what Reeves is possibly envisioning, I'll be sold.

Gyllenhaal actually auditioned for the role of Batman back in 2005 for Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Then back in 2015, the actor stopped by The Howard Stern Show...

The Batman: Jake Gyllenhaal’s name is now in the mix

Very minor “Justice League” spoilers below.

Will Ben Affleck continue to play Batman or won’t he? Affleck’s script was also dropped.

Jake Gyllenhaal at an event for Stronger - Io sono più forte (2017)
Well, that didn’t take long. The rumors had just surfaced that Matt Reeves wasn’t eyeballing Ben Affleck for his “The Batman” (or its possible trilogy), and that he had somebody else in mind. Well, now that name has surfaced.

According to John Campea, who is the source of all this stuff, Jake Gyllenhall is the actor that Reeves wants wearing the cape and cowl.
