Jennifer Aniston returns as Alex Levy in the newly released trailer for The Morning Show Season 4. The preview highlights a major reset for the show-within-the-show, Tms, following the dramatic merger at the end of season three.
Alex has risen to a top executive role after combining her network with a rival, forming Ubn.
The trailer hints at challenges in her new position, questioning whether her leadership is a breakthrough or a risky “glass cliff.” She plans to change the company’s culture with the support of Stella (Greta Lee) and Mia (Karen Pittman).
However, newcomer Celine Dumont, played by Marion Cotillard, arrives to challenge Alex’s vision, calling the idea of a “female utopia” unrealistic. Boyd Holbrook joins as a podcaster and potential love interest, adding more tension to the storyline.

Jennifer Aniston makes it clear in the new trailer for the return of The Morning Show: Tms (the morning show within The Morning Show) is embarking on a reset.
As has been the habit of the Emmy-winning Apple TV+ series starring Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, each season of the media drama tends to blow everything up in its finale and hopes to start anew when it returns. This time, the morning show and parent company at the center of the series has given Aniston’s Alex Levy a major seat at the table after she pulled off the season three finale merger coup with their rival morning show network to create “Ubn” (Uba and Nbn combined).
But a magazine cover early on in the new trailer asks the big question looming over Levy’s success as the company’s new, female top executive: “New Paradigm or Glass Cliff?” reads the headline.

Despite Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) appearing at a pet clinic that looks identical to the one that her partner worked at in And Just Like That season 2, Ramírez didn’t return. Warning: Contains spoilers for Season Three of And Just Like That…, including the finale.
Just about two weeks ago, Michael Patrick King — showrunner of the Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That… — made a big announcement: The show was ending with its current third season. The news came as a shock since, when the show was renewed for said third season, we were all told it was “the #1 Max Original overall.” (Could so much have changed in its switch back to being an HBO Max Original?!) King wrote in a statement that he and star Sarah Jessica Parker “held off announcing the news until now because (they) didn’t want the word ‘final’ to overshadow the fun of watching the season.”
This watcher actually wasn’t having that much fun watching the season as it went on, though, and I doubt I was alone. As much joy...

You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. And what we had in the “Sex and the City” sequel series “And Just Like That,” which ends this week after three seasons, was a cringey, sweet, tone-deaf, moving, off-putting, captivating snapshot of its iconic characters’ late middle age. Whether in horror, delight or some mixture of the two, I watched every episode rapt. Most people I know had the same experience, saying as much on social media and in group chats. Now the ride is over, and the audience’s final collective response is one of mourning — like the old joke about terrible food and small portions, but sincere.
Perhaps this is because “And Just Like That” seemed finally, maybe, to be hitting its stride. When it began, the show felt like two concepts at war with each other: one an organic progression through time, the other an effortful,...

After appearing in the first two seasons of And Just Like That..., comedian and actor Bobby Lee did not return for the show's third season. As for why he was apparently left out of Season 3, Lee suggested that it was because his presence was making the series a bit too "woke."
Lee discussed his exclusion from Season 3 in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. He shared his belief that there had been a change in direction for Season 3 to have fewer minorities, pointing to how Sara Ramirez had also left the show after Season 2. Ramirez, a Mexican-American, played Che Diaz, a non-binary love interest for Miranda (Cynthia Nixon).
"Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that," Lee, who is of Korean descent, explained to EW at San Diego Comic-Con. "I think Sara [Ramirez] didn't come back and some other people.

With Aiden back in Carrie’s life on And Just Like That…, one man has gone the way of Skipper Johnston.
After appearing on the first two seasons of HBO Max‘s Sex and the City continuation as Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) friend and podcast co-host Jackie Nee, Bobby Lee recently addressed his absence from Season 3.
“Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that,” Lee told Entertainment Weekly. “I think Sara [Ramirez] didn’t come back and some other people. They tried to put minorities in, and — I don’t know. I never saw the show.”
In February 2024, Deadline reported that Ramirez would not reprise their role as Miranda’s (Cynthia Nixon) non-binary comedian love interest Che Díaz in Season 3. The next month, Karen Pittman also exited her role as Columbia Law School professor, Dr. Nya Wallace.

“The Morning Show” is back this fall, and from the looks of the new teaser, things are going to get even more intense. Season 4 of the Apple TV+ drama drops on September 17, and this time it’s all about artificial intelligence, deepfakes, and the blurred lines between truth and lies.
The show has always pulled from real-world events, and this season is no different. Past seasons tackled the pandemic and the January 6 insurrection. Now, AI takes the spotlight, raising some big questions about what’s real and who can be trusted. The official logline from Apple says the Uba and Nbn networks have finished their merger, and now the team has to deal with “newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America.” It also warns of “deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups.”
In the teaser, Jennifer Aniston’s Alex walks along a row of windows.

With just two months until the premiere of The Morning Show, it's finally time to start getting hyped up for the newest season of the hit series. Today, Apple TV+ unveiled a teaser trailer for Season 4, and it showcases all the major players of the next installment of the show. The release date is set for September 17, and once again Jennifer Aniston (Friends) and Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies) return as two cutthroat journalists who both shape and are impacted by the culture of a fast-moving newsroom.
The teaser trailer doesn't reveal much in terms of story, and also provides no sneak peek of the scenes that we're about to witness in Season 4. Instead, it focuses on the intrigue and how the show will continue to be a war in which the weapons are narratives, manipulation, moral conflict, and bottom lines. It was on the latter’s blue carpet where Pittman offered The Hollywood Reporter a few minutes of her time before she headed inside to the black-tie gala at which she presented a trophy alongside Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier. “It’s amazing. It’s beautiful,” she said of her first impressions of Malta. “It’s an extraordinary island. The weather, the sights, the architecture, everything. The Morning Show, with its dramatic exploration of current events through the lens of a popular broadcast news program on the fictitious network Uba, shows no signs of slowing its pace, says star Jennifer Aniston, who teased an “emotional” forthcoming fourth season of the Apple TV+ series.
“The Morning Show is just a beast to film,” she told People recently. “It is layered, it’s complicated, it’s emotional, it hits on a lot of topics and current events, so let’s just say, it’s not Friends.”
Aniston, who also executive produces the series alongside fellow co-star Reese Witherspoon, said wearing dual hats on The Morning Show “takes a lot out of you.” She continued, “We’re involved in every single aspect of the show, on top of just the performance side, which is a big piece of it. But I’ve got incredible support, and we have such an incredible team.

Deepfakes, AI, and a messy merger set the stage for another explosive season.
I’ve been hooked on “The Morning Show” from the word go. I mean, come on, that first season featured Steve Carell teaming up with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston for a sharp, behind-the-scenes drama about morning news? I was all in before the first episode even aired. And honestly, this is kind of Apple TV+’s whole deal: take massive talent, throw them into big, complicated stories, and let the sparks fly. Every season has been messy in the best way — full of power plays, bad decisions, and people trying (and failing) to do the right thing. Now with Season 4 dropping Wednesday, Sept. 17, we’re in for another wild ride. Let’s break it all down. Here’s everything to know about “The Morning Show” Season 4.

There’s a moment in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator when Russell Crowe’s enslaved Roman general Maximus, fresh from eviscerating five foes in short order, throws his arms in the air and asks a stunned arena, “Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained?”
It would not be that far from fiction to picture the organizers of Sunday night’s Golden Bee Awards repeating the same question after the final spectacle had been presented to close out a nearly three-hour ceremony held inside Gzira’s Fort Manoel in Malta. Presented by the Mediterrane Film Festival and hosted by David Walliams, the outdoor show finished shy of midnight and by that point had featured around a dozen musical numbers (complete with props, backup dancers and custom backdrops), a slew of Hollywood presenters (Anna Camp, Chris Perfetti, Jared Harris, Karen Pittman and Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier), three fireworks displays and even Maximus himself.

Russell Crowe made a surprise appearance at the Mediterrane Film Festival’s Golden Bee Awards on Sunday night, returning to the island where he shot “Gladiator” more than two decades ago.
“If you want to know what I love about Malta, it’s everything,” said Crowe, who was given the Malta Film Legend Award. “26 years ago, in a funny way, I became a man in Malta,” he said, “For whatever films I had done before then, nothing had the majesty, ambition and budget and ultimately reach of ‘Gladiator.’ It wasn’t an easy production. I had to fight every day for the integrity of the character I was playing — just like the journey of the character himself in the movie. And sometimes, you get lucky enough to make something that resonates with people.”
Crowe told a story about a young man who asked him for a photo last week while he was traveling in Italy.
