Fisher was rumored as one of the finalists for a lead role in Star Wars - Il risveglio della Forza (2015). Fisher later debunked this rumor as simply hype.

While performing as Muhammad Ali in the off-Broadway play Fetch Clay, Make Man, Fisher was approached by Ang Lee to discuss playing the same part in the Oscar-winner's upcoming untitled boxing film.

Born in Baltimore, but raised in Lawnside, New Jersey, where he developed an interest in acting while still in high school.

[re his stage role as Muhammad Ali] This is more contemporary than Shakespeare, but in terms of rhythm and language, it's very Shakespearean. Will [Power]'s a poet and that definitely comes through in his writing. But it's unlike anything else I've done. People can have 20 different takes on King Lear and have them all be equally good. But the same would probably not be true of Ali.
